@Khellstr3D and since detail just repeatedly overlays the noise, it'll make it slowly converge in a 0.25-0.75 range (or even closer to 0.5 if you turn roughness up)

@Khellstr3D when you set the noise texture to 2d and set detail to 0, you'll see it reach ~0.01 and ~0.99 in some spots. when you set it to 3d, the peaks will still be there but you'll see less of them because you're only seeing a cross section of the noise at that coordinate

I have been assuming that values of noise texture would go from 0-1 when normalized, but actually the stay between 0.25-0.75. This might explain why I have had sometimes difficulties to reach results I want, as I have been expecting minimum values to be closet to 0 1/2

games like s&box and roblox are very important in the indie space becauase they give a (mostly) cost-free way for new devs to make multiplayer games, because otherwise they have to either release on steam or pay for servers even if you're making a peer to peer game

I’ll be the #1 defender of this on this app then I guess. The fact you can export and sell projects on steam will change lives. I really think this game is a gift to the indie scene and can only improve with time. $20 is such a small amount of money to spend on this, and it will eventually go F2P. There’s endless potential here and people have just seen the surface. Facepunch has been working on TOOLS. Not a traditional game. I’ve noticed legitimate complaints but a loud community of (children?) complaining to no end about the price, optional cosmetics, and how the game is doomed. To that I say - lol

@vertex_L this tends to be caused by adaptive sampling (noise threshold), since the denoisers don't handle non uniform noise well. either bump up minimum samples or disable it altogether

@Cartesian_C It's projects.blender.org/blender/blende… It's been an issue all the way since 4.2, and it's just that render method dithered materials don't have debanding applied (render mode blended materials DO have debanding however) surprised this hasn't been fixed yet it seems like an easy one

Has anyone noticed the banding issue in 5.2 Eevee when materials have roughness set to 1? It feels like something isn't in log space. 4.1 is fine #b3d #eevee

@ChaosX2006 and last thing this applies to most bosses but from what was shown hitting iblis kinda "feels weak" right now, should probably add some stuff to make it really feel like youve hit the boss hard (like hitstun or slowmo + screenshake + some extra particle and maybe shader/post fx?)

@ChaosX2006 ...and something that i think could work here is just having enemies spawn around the arena this also opens the door for some extra strategizing like filling up chaos boost as shadow or upgrading the gems as sonic so you can for example upgrade the white gem to deal more damage
