The Ukrainian Railways have been a backbone of the country’s resilience since Russia started its full-scale invasion. As HR/VP @kajakallas reaffirmed during her latest visit: @Ukrzaliznytsia can count on the #EU 🇪🇺to support them, also amid intensified Russian strikes. Together with @AussenMinDE, she handed over generators for stable power supply, dump-trucks and excavators to restore infrastructures, trucks and flatbed trailers to transport essential equipment. Strengthening responses to CBRN crimes in the Western Balkans. Through the EU-funded #EUCBRNCoE initiative, a regional programme supported Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and North Macedonia to improve legal and investigative capacities. 10 emerging US leaders have completed the Brussels leg of the EU–US Emerging Leaders Programme where they met with representatives of the EU Institutions. Following a Russian attack on a southern Ukrainian energy plant, polluting chemicals have spilled into the Dniester river, Moldova’s main freshwater source. To mitigate the impact, 2 tonnes of biodegradable sorbent, intended for the absorption of petroleum products, was delivered to 🇲🇩#Moldova & distributed to the affected areas of the Dniester river in the Criuleni & Dubăsari districts.
