@SpiricocoNg Dr Fafiola, what do you drink? Bill on me please?
English

You call it panicking. That would be true for schools with a history of poor performance. This school has a history of excellent results, while using the same methods you condemn. They teach adequately during the 5 years and use these "compelled" revision sessions to dot their i's and cross their t's. Schools, teachers and parents that are happy with mediocre results shouldn't stand in the way of those that want the best.
English

@seasick999 @euinnocent @hb_history Enforced revision, under threat of internal exclusion. Clearly senior leadership haven’t got their outcomes and are panicking after having these kids for 5 years.
English

@glennkol @seasick999 @hb_history There are schools who know their outcomes would be poor but senior leadership do nothing. I wouldn't attack a school that chooses to do something "controversial".
English

@seasick999 @hb_history No teacher or student wants this, it’s clearly the senior leadership panicking that their expectation outcomes are below.
English

@xas7wcrg9e @seasick999 @hb_history A school that doesn't do enough would not be posting the exceptional results this school gets every year.
English

@seasick999 @hb_history Clearly this is one of the schools that didn't do enough, to the point they're mandating extra school hours so the pupils can catch up....

Also, Peter Obi is not a “lesser evil”.
I am again begging us all to have moral clarity.
The man who said if anyone finds N5 that he embezzled should come forward and he’d leave the race:
That man is not a “lesser evil” I am begging you guys.
The man who has donated more money to education and health from his own purse more than the CapEx for health by the government is not a “lesser evil”.
The man who left no debt but actual surplus in the treasury of the state he governed is not a “lesser evil”.
The man who has successfully without any corruption led as:
Chairman of Fidelity Bank Plc
Director of Fidelity Bank Plc
Chairman of Next International Nigeria Ltd
Chairman of Guardian Express Mortgage Bank Ltd
Chairman of Future View Securities Ltd
Chairman of Paymaster Nigeria Ltd
Chairman of Chams Nigeria Plc
Director of Chams Nigeria Plc
Director of Data Corp Ltd
Director of Card Centre Plc
Independent Non-Executive Director of Nigeria LNG Ltd:
Is not a “lesser evil”.
The man who went to Egypt to study how to make power constant for you is not a lesser evil.
The man who said he wouldn’t tax you unless he has prospered you isn’t a lesser evil.
The “lesser evil” bifurcation came when we wanted to choose between a corrupt incompetent Buhari and a corrupt incompetent Atiku.
I don’t really like politics Twitter. But I’m saying this so we all have moral clarity.
I am begging us all. Please, let’s dump these contrarian virtue signaling.
I am begging.
We are up against vicious people. These are the people who have witnessed around 5 generals and colonels die and nothing is moving them.
I am begging you all, please.

@thegoypride @TruthWorksLoops @howertonjosh The Christian doesn't see it as hurt but love. Perspectives matter.
English

@euinnocent @TruthWorksLoops @howertonjosh But materially, the one who donates hurts himself by doing so.
English

Coming to believe ~90% of the political differences among Christians boil down to a failure to distinguish between the Biblical roles of the individual, the church, and the State.
No, God did not command governments to forcibly redistribute wealth.
Yes, God commanded Christians as individuals to practice charity.
Individual Christians in Acts “gave willingly and not under compulsion.”
Christians in Acts did not vote for the Emperor to increase the marginal tax rate and call that “generosity.”

Tucker’s latest guest: “Capitalism shouldn’t be anywhere near Christianity. Christianity is socialism at its core.” Tucker agrees

No the system rewards your contributions to society, allows you to enjoy the work of your hands, while giving you a genuine heart for those in need so much that you voluntarily relinquish some/all of what is rightly yours to care for them.
In the Christian world view, you become richer when you give, not when you hoard. Also, in this world view, the riches of the "wicked" doesn't bother us because we know their end.
English

@euinnocent @TruthWorksLoops @howertonjosh If it is voluntary, then the more someone donates, the poorer they become and the less someone donates, the richer they become. Your system is designed so that the wicked always rise to the top.
English

I don't think you really believe that Jesus meant that every believer should sell all and live without possessions. Do you? While there will be times when it is necessary to do so, the point here was to show compassion to those in need. The same Jesus taught about stewarding and growing what you have received.
I don't know what the government being on His shoulders has to do with this topic?
English

@euinnocent @howertonjosh You are talking about warped human socialism.
Jesus clearly commands people to sell all they have and give to the poor. The Bible also clearly states that the government rests on Jesus' shoulders. Do you disagree with either of these things?
English

Except that socialism doesn't ask for free will donations. It siezes and redistributes unjustly, with those in power keeping more for themselves. The church received from "individuals" who gave "freely" and distributed "justly" to those in "genuine" need.

The church which formed closest to Jesus and those who knew him on Earth very clearly practiced socialism. The government of the Christian is on Jesus' shoulders.
Christianity is socialism at its core, it's just not the Bernie Sanders socialism. Bernie Sanders socialism isn't even socialism.

The first minister to serve the Holy Communion was the Lord himself.
It was he that said “This is my body, broken for you” while he was still there in person and his physical body unbroken.
If you come after him claiming that when you eat the bread you are eaten the physical broken body of the one who was bodily resurrected unbroken there is something horribly wrong with your understanding of the Lord’s table.
Same thing with the cup.
He was standing there when he poured it out and he said “this is my blood.”
If you think the wine you drink today has been turned into his physical blood, you’ve also failed to grasp the theology of flesh and bone. For the resurrected Lord is not flesh and blood. Flesh and blood will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
The body is his and the blood is his but when we eat the bread and drink the cup we do it in remembrance of him. This was his command.
Also with regards to the contents of the cup. If anyone says you are not drinking it if you don’t drink what he drank, don’t lose sleep over it. They’re not drinking what he drank either.
The Lord gave commands about the table, none of them included the contents of the table itself.
There were commands about frequency, attitude and posture when approaching the table.
Even warnings of consequences if postures were abused.
The contents however were left for context.
No where was baptism ever done in stagnant water in the text, but over the centuries Christians adapted to their context just so that the command would be obeyed. Even conducting it with sand in exceptional circumstances.
Christians did everything to obey the Lord’s commands but when context demands that Christians stay away from alcohol including at the communion table them of the circumcision cry that we’re not obeying the Lord.
Finally the communion is not some mindless memorial, it is deep fellowship with the Lord in a very spiritual sense. It is participating in the table of the Lord and drawing the gains of his redemption.
So the Lord is present at the Table in a real form so the table must not be approached mindlessly or carelessly.
