@renewreality @TheMilkBarTV @Modster99 If there is no evidence there is no trial to deem if a person is guilty. If evidence automatically deemed guilt then there would be no trail. Honestly u know this.

No there isn't a trial because everyone is innocent till proven guilty. There's a trial because the investigation found a bunch of evidence. They show the evidence to the District Attorney who determines if there's enough evidence for a trial. Then the evidence is presented to a Grand Jury. The Grand Jury is citizens who decide if they believe there's enough evidence to go to trial. If they also decide there's enough evidence for guilt then it heads to trial. Then both lawyers go through a process before the trial of submitting their evidence to a judge and argue both ways for which evidence should be submitted. The defence lawyer then tries to argue that there isn't enough evidence for a trial, while the prosecution argues there is. Then the judge decides if he thinks there's enough evidence for a potential conviction. This is why there is a trial: evidence of potential guilt. Still innocent until proven guilty.
