You may have seen the headlines. At @RoyalHolloway, I face daily abuse and threats simply for standing for British values, and for my support of the Jewish people. I’m often not taken seriously. But the moment I reacted with a light-hearted “tea towel” joke about a keffiyeh - after being called a “wannabe Jew” - I was suspended the next day. I missed 7 weeks of my degree and faced MAJOR misconduct proceedings. Now I’m taking the university to the High Court, all while the CPS decides on hate crime charges. This photo, taken at uni, shows me with my Jewish friend Evaldas - who has stood by me from day one through the harassment, filming, verbal abuse, threats, and even police visits to campus over death threats. Free speech must apply equally. Calls glorifying terrorist groups and controversial speakers are often tolerated - yet a single reply from a Zionist student triggers suspension? I get shouted at daily and laugh it off. But I will never back down from standing with the Jewish people. 🚨 A year ago, I wrote this piece for @JewishChron about what was happening at @RoyalHolloway. It was only the beginning. On the anniversary of October 7, our Jewish Society received a bomb threat from a jihadist. It was reported to police and CST. The Students’ Union barely responded, and the university failed to properly reassure or protect us. Since then: My phone number was leaked. I received around 10 calls a day from people describing my every movement and telling me they are watching me and ‘coming to get me’. 
I have received death threats. 
Bloody period pads were left outside my corridor. 
Notes saying ‘we’re coming for you’. 
My name and face have been circulated in group chats. 
I am followed on campus. This is targeted harassment of Jewish students, presented as activism. We are not asking for special treatment. 🚨 This is a prime example of two-tier justice. My friend @BrodieMitchell1 was suspended by @RoyalHolloway and hit with a hate crime probe by the police - all for a light-hearted ‘tea towel’ joke replying to a vile antisemitic comment. Meanwhile, daily antisemitic abuse and threats on campus get ignored. As a Jewish student at Royal Holloway, I can’t leave my room without facing some sort of abuse. I report it?
