I'm adding in my #Altcoin portfolio The DCA strategy. I've been doing this since earlier this year, and I'll continue to do this, as I'm actively trading my #Altcoin portfolio. I'm still down a lot: 60%, and that's fine, as the upside will be a larger number than this. I'm used to be seeing a drawdown like this on my personal portfolio, and no, it's not easy to stomach as you see your money fade down. Over the past month, a few important things have happened within the portfolio. - $TAO has seen a subnet leaving the ecosystem, and therefore receiving some backlash on the price. I haven't sold, I'm not planning to do so. - $NEAR consolidated, didn't follow in any of this and looks ready for a new leg upwards. - $REZ started picking up momentum within the AI <> #Crypto narrative. Other than that, most of the positions haven't been doing much yet, and that's quite understandable, as most of the markets aren't having the strength and confidence to be moving upwards at all. That's why, in this month's update, the DCA allocations will be different than previous months. What did I buy with the $10,000 extra? Clearly, some positions have been doing well, some positions haven't. I do think that allocating towards winners is the strongest strategy moving forward, given the fact that not every altcoin is going to do well. In my opinion, I'm not expecting all of my altcoins to do well, as a matter of fact, I think that a few of them will massively outperform and provide the return that I'm looking for + wisely playing with market sentiment and trading the markets (in/out positions and/or adding into cash or $BTC at certain periods) will compound the yield that I'm looking for. In that sense, I've taken the following positions: - Added $5,000 into $NEAR at these valuations. - Added $1,000 into $REZ at these valuations. - Added $4,000 into USDC which I'll use to be doing mean reversion trading strategies and/or allocating when I see conviction on trends to occur. Examples: - If the markets trend upwards and there's a strong correction (while trend remains up), I might be looking to allocate some cash into that trade for a quick bounce play and/or trend continuation play. - If there are strong signals: flipping HTF MA's on other #Altcoins, I'm looking to allocate more into those positions in order to generate an additional return. However, adding and building more cash in the portfolio improves the Sharpe ratio of the portfolio and dampens the volatility. You might say: you're still allocated in positions by 93% and that's correct, it's just a small step at a time. I'm not planning to be doing many more DCA's over this year, actually I think there will only be 2-3 more to come. Other than that, the gameplan remains intact. I'm allocating into those positions and I'm planning to be trading them actively on technical indicators. If something is hitting levels that I think they are overvalued, I'm looking to defend my portfolio and get myself into more of a stable composition of cash/crypto and perhaps even commodities. I'll also be providing better visuals and representations of the portfolio with returns (monthly) and portfolio trackers.

The markets are always opposing the sentiment. The moment that #Bitcoin starts to get some spotlight will be the moment that we'll see a correction. However, the fair value is still far away. Nasdaq has made new all-time highs, #Bitcoin is still 30-50% beneath that level. I do think that we've bottomed. Given the statistical data, the only time we've seen another low was due to the FTX collapse. There's no such case. Most likely we'll see a trend continue towards $90k+ and consolidate there for a while, where #Altcoins start to get some spotlight again.

@MrOverprayed Not mutually exclusive. I do both without allowing the vanity of looksmaxxing to consume me. You need to ascend your looks, while at the same time ascending the spirit / psyche. Both can be balanced healthily.

@0xShual Because the sentiment will eventually shift and everything will be a future of finance again. Stages of sentiment are copypaste in every single cycle. This is how every bear market always feels. And it can get even worse if BTC breaks down. But it will turn around eventually.

So, to recap, the sentiment on the TL is: - DeFi is dead: don't bother with it, don't deposit anywhere, 'just use aave' is dead, off-ramp and at best park with ibkr or coinbase - The age of crypto is over: we're no longer early, it's the instutitionals era, coins have infinite price-insensitive sellers, and retail isn't coming to buy your bags - Onchain is dead, especially on solana, because of pvp tards that rush to outdump each other on 30k market caps. The only true runners are flukes on ethereum that are old and have no gen z to control its supply and is reliant on elon tweets. - The handful of projects that were considered investment-worthy are either not (aave, for example) or are already adequately priced (hype, zec). there are a few silent runners like $morpho but not many and low volume. - GameFi is dead. SocialFi is dead. L2s are barren. Financial activity only exists to farm points. Did I miss anything? Is anyone excited about anything? Something? If you're reading this - why are you still in crypto?

@CryptoMichNL I don't understand why some people still pay you for your groups Michaël. I started in Bon Sanca in 2021, it was fun, but following you simply isn't profitable for anyone. You have been accumulating altcoins for last 2 years only to say it's good that they went to zero 😂

I think that it's fully deserved that 99% of the #Altcoins are going to zero. It's not like all of the internet companies from the Dot.com bubble survived. However, during that bubble phase, there's a lot of money made and coming out of the bubble phase, there's more interest into the asset and stronger protocols and real adoption happens. There's not been a moment in time like this where I've been so bullish about the future of Crypto.

Can you name at least a few SPECIFIC claims in which Pape's or Mearsheimer's analysis have failed? Are you sure it's not just your denial?

Unpopular opinion: luxury has nothing to do with money, yachts, 5-star hotels, or expensive dinners. Real luxury is having time for yourself. It’s being able to switch your phone off, take a long bath, read a book, go for a walk, and sleep eight hours without feeling guilty. It’s living without the constant pressure to perform or keep up on social media. I don’t care about dressing up just to go somewhere expensive and still feel drained. I care about feeling good. Being at peace. Sharing my time with people who matter. Finding joy in simple things like a homemade breakfast, a great movie without distractions, a book you can get lost in. Real luxury is disconnecting from the noise. It’s nature: the sea, the mountains, fresh air. It’s slowing down enough to actually live. That’s it, that’s real luxury.
