Florida has suffered from Republican rot for three decades. We have the lowest teacher pay, a surging cost of living, an insurance crisis, and abysmal healthcare in the bottom ten of the nation. Florida is *the* worst state for renters due to an affordability crisis, with 67% of renters struggling. Key issues include high housing costs, high insurance premiums, hurricane vulnerability, and high crime rates in specific areas. The state also ranks poorly in raising a family, aging in place, and public education (see teacher pay above). Draw all the maps you want, dehydrated DeSantis. The only way to rectify this Republican rot is by voting for Democrats.

Ron DeSantis just proposed a new congressional map to hand Republicans even more seats in a state where they already hold a massive advantage. Not because communities changed, but because the focus is on control rather than on lowering costs, fixing insurance, or helping families.

Wife and I found an amazing house today on 2 acres of land in a very nice neighborhood. Significant upgrade from our current home/yard/hood.

So now put the extra $2000 in the stock market each month for 30 years
Thats $720,000 total, and with compound interest and historical returns, you’re at 3.9 million
Subtract the 30 years of rent assuming typical increases, and you still come out way ahead
