Covid showed us we could slow down, work different, care for each other, rethink everything. We had one rare chance to build a life that was less cruel, less exhausting, less centered around grinding people into dust. Instead we sprinted right back into burnout, greed, higher costs, worse mental health, and pretending this is normal. That’s what makes me angry. We learned nothing.

It's kinda weird how Labour would rather sit back and allow the right to hammer them with lies and misinformation about the welfare system than issue one single word in defence of disabled people. Oh well, I'm sure it will work out great for them.

99.8% of households in receipt of benefits are not eligible for the farcical 60k a year figure (or anywhere close). The idea that everyone is quitting work to claim this amount is so absurd it would be amusing if our entire political and media class didn't seem to believe it.

Reform UK's new Deputy Leader on @Essex_CC @russellquirk has only been in the job 5 minutes and he's already told a whopping lie. He's posted this on Facebook. The problem is, the only Labour councillor on that council wasn't at the meeting, and they've been elected since 2017, so they would already know the answer to this question. No wonder he has answers turned off.

PIP MISINFORMATION - Mick, £766.60 is the max anyone can get on PIP. So you’re talking bollocks. And no, you can’t get enhanced rates for things like ADHD alone. Anyone who has successfully managed to claim PIP has done so with mountains of medical evidence. So your story doesn’t pass the sniff test. And while I’m here, PIP is not an out of work benefit. Some disabled people can work. PIP is to cover the additional costs of being disabled which average at £1,100 EVERY month. So disabled people are at a deficit. Anything else you need setting straight about?
