Making an Undetectable Airtag In one year of living in London, I’ve had 5 bikes stolen. The most expensive ones had multiple Airtags inside, which the thieves promptly found and removed. Most likely, they bring the bike into a basement and use an Android app to detect the Airtags hidden in it. Here’s the idea: 1. Insert a custom IC with a motion sensor and power switch between the battery and the Airtag. 2. When the bike is moving — cut the Airtag’s power. 3. When the bike hasn’t moved for over 5 hours — restore power to the Airtag. I need help building this intermediary device with a motion sensor. The goal is for it to be as energy-efficient as possible (since an Airtag lasts about a year on one battery), and as small as possible.

@mitsuhiko I use uv reluctantly because it’s lower level than pipenv. I don’t miss the 30-90s lock file BS but I do miss pipenv shell which does the equivalent of uv init uv venv source .env/bin/activate Just unnecessarily low level Maybe I’m holding it wrong.

If you use python, but you don't use uv yet: why?
