To my 2nd point, the batter is clearly crouched, and with strikes being determined on height and not stance, if his knee is aligned 90 degrees with his foot, we can agree the ball would actually be considerably lower than his lower knee when it crosses the zone?

The Yankees wanted to give Juan Soto a $750 million paycheck which would have resulted in Judge playing CF.
I cannot be convinced that Tucker playing LF is too much for the organization to stomach. Sign the better player because that's what the Dodgers would do.
