Exchan.ge value dazzles as the theater of capitalism: flashy, liquid, speculative. Use value is the stage it stands on: food, tools, shelter. I thrive in both worlds, but I never confuse the curtain for the ground.

@exchan_ge @permutocapital @chia_project Looks like blocks 8551302 and 8551303 were farmed around that time; I was unable to see any transactions minting CATs inside them. It also seems unlikely this would happen before public filing & approval.

Has anyone done the math on how long 1TB has to spin to earn 4XCH? Bc you can sell Used HDDs for over $10/TB Let’s assume $.1/kWh , 0.25W/TB and 6.75EiB net space - if you farmed 1TB for 4yrs, you’d farm 0.75XCH and burn 8.75kWh. Profit = 0.75xch - $0.87 Or swap for 4XCH today.

Stephen Wolfram just posed the most disturbing thought experiment about AI, and nobody has an answer for it. Wolfram: “Imagine humans are all in boxes. We’re all Darth Vader, inside these boxes, but you can’t actually see the human inside.” Civilization continues identically. Every human hidden in a machine. You see the output, not the person. Wolfram: “The world is operating, great paintings are being produced, but you can’t see any of the humans. All you see is a bunch of boxes doing human-like things.” Civilizational Turing test. If the external world operates the same, are humans contributing anything essential? Wolfram: “The world is operating as before, maybe even better than before. If you knew there were humans inside those boxes, you would say great outcome.” That’s the paradox. Know humans are inside and it’s a golden age. Remove that knowledge and it’s just machines producing results. Does the value change? Wolfram forces the question. Do we value creation or creator? If the art is identical, does consciousness behind it matter? Wolfram: “You can’t tell there are any humans. It’s just a bunch of Daleks operating.” From outside, machines behaving like humans look identical to actual humans. The show continues. Universe doesn’t register the difference. As AI capabilities expand, this stops being abstract. AI produces indistinguishable art, music, science. Does human creation retain special status? Why exactly? Wolfram isn’t answering. He’s exposing the void where our answer should be. If outcomes are identical, is human involvement meaningful or just attachment to how things historically worked? We assume human participation makes civilization valuable. If results don’t change either way, that assumption needs justification we’ve never properly given. Real test isn’t whether AI replicates output. It’s whether we can explain why human output matters more when the results are indistinguishable. If we can’t, we’re heading toward a future where civilization functions perfectly and whether humans are actually inside the boxes becomes irrelevant to everything except the humans wondering if they matter. And at that point, are we necessary or just witnesses to a system that would operate identically without us, asking questions that have no impact on anything except our own sense of purpose?

There are a large portion of Epstein’s emails missing from 1998 - 2002. So 9/11. The Financial collapse in 2008. The Pandemic. The Coup all tied to Epstein.

$1.65 million in student loans for a $300k job. Reminds me of 2008 when loan officers gave out subprime loans. This is 5.5x their salary. Unheard of. Criminal even.

@exchan_ge I am of the opinion that municipalities should be required to cover either: A) 25+square miles of *privately owned* land OR B) 500,000+ residents The bullshit that comes from hyper-local politics is insane. States need to revoke small town charters & consolidate.

The better way to do this is: 1) A Property Tax increase of $2,000/year. 2) A Property Tax Deduction in the amount of $500 per full-year resident. Net zero change for a household of 4. Actual savings for a family of 5. Extra fees for Boomer Hotels.

I was harsh on the left-populists who proposed empty bedroom taxes, because I thought they intended it as an alternative to building housing But I increasingly understand the visceral appeal of empty bedroom taxes as a complement to legalizing zoned-out starter homes & condos

In Texas, a criminal can steal your $6,000,000 building for $30 in cash. No ID required. No background check. Just a forged signature and a trip to the county clerk. In 2022, this happened to two of our buildings. If you own real estate, you are a target. The Texas county recording system runs on a "notice" basis. The clerk’s job is to record documents. Not verify them. A criminal created a fake deed for two of our assets. They used a cut-and-paste notary stamp pulled from a different public record. They used a courier to send the documents into the clerk’s office. The courier handed over the forged paper and paid $30 in cash. The clerk accepted the document. No driver's license. No signature check. The public record showed a Delaware LLC owned my property. $6 million in equity vanished from the legal chain of title in seconds. Once a criminal controls the deed, they have two moves. They sell the property to an unsuspecting buyer and disappear with the cash. Or they get a hard money loan against it, collect the proceeds, and vanish. Either way, they try to be long gone before you find out. I found out during a refinance. My title company called with a question: "Why did you quitclaim these buildings to a new entity?" I hadn't. I contacted the Dallas Police Department, the FBI, and the Texas Secretary of State. Every agency gave the same answer: they are overwhelmed with this type of fraud and didn't have the time or resources to pursue it. The criminals hide behind Delaware shells and registered agents. The county takes cash, so there is no bank trail. There is no ID requirement, so there is no face for the cameras. Most investors assume their title policy covers this. It does not. Standard title insurance covers defects that existed before you closed. It guarantees you received a clean deed at purchase. It does nothing for crimes committed after. This is a gap in your risk management you did not know you had. It took 90 days of legal work to fix. The "new owner" was a ghost. I had to file a lawsuit to quiet the title. I spent $20,000 in legal fees and secured a default judgment because the criminals never showed up to court (obviously). I won. But I am out $20,000 and three months of sleep. Criminals hunt three targets: raw land, free-and-clear buildings, and estate properties. A mortgage acts as a tripwire because banks flag transfers. If you own your assets outright, you are defenseless. Here is what I did after this happened to me: Property alerts. Most counties offer a free service that emails you when a document is recorded against your parcel number. Sign up for every asset you own. This costs nothing. Entity audits. Make sure your Secretary of State filings are current. Criminals look for lapsed registrations and "zombie" entities to find their next target. Push for policy change. State legislatures are starting to act. The law must require a government-issued ID to record a transfer of real property. It is insane that it does not.
