Cyproheptadine is an S-Tier Panacea (second only to aspirin): x Very effective for managing benzodiazepine withdrawals, somewhat helpful for alcohol/opiate withdrawals too. x Dramatically lowers prolactin. Valid treatment for gynecomastia and prolactin-related impotence, probably safer than dopamine agonists if used correctly. x Excellent for treating acute panic and anxiety attacks in general. x Amazing for alleviating insomnia. x Great for histamine allergies, rashes, itching, runny nose, nausea. x Solid option for treating IBS and gastric ulcers. x Good evidence that it can cure several types of cancer, including liver cancer. x Decent for general neuropathy and pain management. x Fine choice for treating hypersalivation and nighttime drooling. CAVEAT: It is a bandaid solution. Yes, yes stopping a stress cascade is sometimes curative in and of itself stfu, but for the most part, Cypro is just blocking serotonin ‘receptors’, not lowering serotonin itself, which is why people who use it chronically to manage insomnia and anxiety become dependent and experience withdrawals when they stop — the underlying problem of serotonin/histamine overload is not fixed/left to fester. RECOMMENDATION: Outside of special cases like cancer and hyperprolactinemia, use Cypro on an as-needed basis for treating acute symptoms. Avoid taking it every day for more than a week. Use the temporary relief it provides to fix the underlying cause: Carrot salad, charcoal, mushrooms, penicillin, butyrate, lactoferrin to really fix your gut + eliminate histamine-rich foods and other triggers + CBT-I and other tricks for managing insomnia etc. DOSAGE; Start with no more than 0.5mg before bed to test how you react. Incrementally escalate to higher doses if needed.

It’s a distinct class of people I’ll define as “situationally immobilized”:
1. Night shift workers
2. Poor people with really long daily commutes
3. The retarded (clinically, I mean, with respect)
These are all people who have to sit/remain in one place for hours and hours without the possibility of (or intelligence to) escape.
When rats and dogs are subjected to the same thing, they experience persistent serotonin elevation, which gives them gastric ulcers and makes them obese and impotent. In other words, they develop biological learned helplessness.
People who watch live streams have lost the ability to enjoy music or reading or even vidya.
(There’s a reason why music sounds so good on cypro)
They’ve lost the ability to feel, so they have to watch someone else reacting to mundane events and viral videos and video games on their behalf.
That’s who watches this stuff live.
