Whichever way this goes, the world will be worse off for it. US willing to use nukes without even a declaration of war, or walking away having accomplished nothing meaningful. Unfortunately this game of chicken will have dark consequences for everyone. There is a reason why no former president lit this fuse - there were no positive outcomes foreseeable.
