Answer these 3 questions honestly with yourself to find out if a hospital will actually adopt your Health Tech innovation 👇
1. Does it solve a CURRENT top 3 priority?
If No - hospitals may be interested and even meet with you a bunch… but there will be limited momentum. Conversations will drag on for months or years.
It might be a priority next year, but if it isn’t one this year… good luck.
2. Do you have a clinical champion?
If No - you’re at risk even if somehow the executives say yes and pay for it.
With no champion:
→ No one will feel accountable to success
→ No one will be in the trenches helping you make it work
→ No one will ultimately care if this succeeds or fails
You need someone to care.
3. Does it fit into the clinical workflow?
if No - you will get poor staff engagement and therefore poor patient engagement.
Remember that implementation doesn’t stop at the Go-Live… it’s a continuous process that needs to be tweaked until it seamlessly fits into the clinical workflow.
If something isn’t working out… ask yourself honestly: can you say Yes to all 3 questions?

@DalrympleWill + @tweeter_anita will also bring you the names you may not know, but whose impact is undoubted.
St Helena, the mother of Constantine, who helped shape the christian world. Nur Jahan, who essentially ruled the Mughal Empire.
Who would you like to hear us cover?

@nntaleb An 11-36 will give more gearing range than the 11-34. I run an 11-36 (with a 50/34 crank) and have been able to climb steep hills (15%+ grade).

My interview with former US presidential candidate Ralph Nader re: human rights situation in Gaza and life for the average Gazan well before October, for his podcast and 40 other radio stations. My portion of the interview starts at 35 minutes 40 seconds. ralphnaderradiohour.com/p/slanted-opin…

@RnaudBertrand He's morally vacuous and generally wrong about everything he writes. Remember his ridiculously reductive McDonald's theory? That was immediately proven wrong when Pakistan (McDonalds 1998) attacked India (McDonalds 1996) in 1999.

Easily one of the more unhinged Thomas Friedman NYT column...
He decided to "understand the Middle East through the animal kingdom" (always a great idea to go compare peoples to animals in a context of genocide and dehumanization) and, surprise, surprise, the more noble animals are the US and Netanyahu (respectively a lion and a lemur) while all the locals are insects and parasites...
So for instance Iran - one of the world's oldest civilizations - is a "parasitoid wasp" that "injects its eggs into live caterpillars". The caterpillars being "Lebanon, Yemen, Syria and Iraq", and the wasp's eggs "the Houthis, Hezbollah, Hamas and Kataib Hezbollah". Hamas, by the way, on top of being a parasitoid wasp egg is also apparently a "trap-door spider", go figure...
And apparently the old lion that is the US has "no counterstrategy that safely and efficiently kills the wasp without setting fire to the whole jungle". I.e. burn the Middle-East down.
It doesn't even make sense by the way: why would a lion - who lives in the savanna - be bothered by a jungle wasp? Is it because his friend the lemur, who eats caterpillars, is bothered by the eggs? 🤔
So anyhow, there you have it, geopolitics explained to Americans by the NYT's premier columnist: we're the king of the animals, we're burdened by the insects and parasites in the jungle and we might just have to burn the whole thing down.

Every day before I get out of bed, I cold message two new people that I admire. It never takes me more than 5 minutes. I've been doing this every morning for years, and it has gotten me:
- 4 internships
- my first full time PM job
- my first investor in my business
- a self-made female billionaire to fly me out to her office for a private meeting
- 3 new best friends
- an invitation to an exclusive founder retreat sponsored by Nike
- and my first five-figure brand deal!
Curious to see what a cold message like this looks like? DM me and I’ll send it to you!

This morning, my wife left Orlando, Florida aboard @SouthwestAir flight 1630 (MCO to PHX).
She sat behind this man. She had been attending the Grace Hopper Conference all week and was resting her head on her tray table, trying to sleep a bit.
Let me tell you what happened.

@chrissyfarr Great to see this insight! Focus is our ethos at @lumihealthinc to reduce 30 day HF readmits #hlth19
English

Big takeaway from #hlth19: investors seem to be flocking to more focused, “niche” businesses that serve a specific population, condition or region. It’s okay to do one thing well & in health care, that can still be a large market.
