I gave you a response. I dont have to prove or disprove what any prot theologian says because most protestants do not appeal to them for their interpretation/teaching. Every protestant believes in sola scriptura, therefore, a major protestant theologian doesnt matter because that theologian is no man's authority. Catholics see it in our interactions with prots regarding the pope all the time. They all say to the Catholics when we speak about the Pope or ask how they know their interpretstion of a passage is correct, "i dont need a man to tell me since I have God's word." You could have all the theologians you want, but in the end, the theologians dont mean much in the eyes of most protestants, hence why you have such wide ranging beliefs amongst the different sects which is also further proof they dont matter. If they were an authority, there would not be such wide ranging belief. As soon as a pastor disagrees with the teaching, they create a new church. Look at how different the theology is compared to Luther, for example about the Blessed Mother. As tume goes on, it gets further and further from even what the original prot founders believed. And it will only continue unfortunately because everyone is their own bishop or their own deacon. And if you are only saved by faith alone, and nothing else matters, then why do you need to continue to repent? You may not believe that personally, but many protestants do, and they openly mock Catholics for continuing to go to confession and they say it is a "work" and that we dont believe we are saved/can lose our salvation.

The Catholic Church is ordered toward sanctification, not comfort: repentance, obedience, self-denial, virtue, and conformity to Christ. Protestantism is built to accommodate the individual, allowing each person to keep what feels right, reject what feels hard, and mistake comfort for truth.

This is an example of two people being wrong. Protestants often read the Bible with extreme diligence because the Word of God is one of the only means by which they have access to Divine succor. Unfortunately their capacity to rightly interpret varies dramatically because they lack a true, unbiased, historically consistent source and rely on questionable English translations. They act as their own arbiter of truth. Additionally hermeneutics is difficult if one cannot appreciate the source languages, is unfamiliar with the contextual setting (history, cultural norms, perspectives, etc). So, while the original user is grossly incorrect that Baptism isn’t required for salvation (the argument for which is based on the thief on the Cross and ignores baptism by desire, etc.) your statement too falls short of the truth.
