Shout out to @fambizjournal and @friendpaperco for hooking me up with some stationary and envelopes today. Thank you again for the tour of your place too and the history!
@jprupp and I will be in touch when we need those timetables and route maps.
@tomhinestweets@ccmembersonly If you think it will only affect white collar workers you are an idiot
If you slash 50-70% of white collar jobs high income and low income you will see the entire economy disrupted bc liquidity will completely dry up
If you manage the money or logistics in your household, your partner is likely unprepared if something happened to you.
You need to build your Key to Life. It's a file to hold all the essential information your family would need if you weren't around.
Reserve 3-4 hours this weekend. Just get it done.
Here's how to start:
1. Create a file. Ensure it's in the cloud. Share it with your wife and a trustee/attorney.
2. Acknowledge that your life is ever-changing. Set a calendar reminder in 12 months to update it.
3. Make sure you're using a password manager. Get every account in there and share your master password with your partner/trustee.
Here's what to include in your Key To Life:
1. Personal Docs: Copy of Drivers License, Passport, Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, etc.
2. Contacts: Who should they call when they need help? CPA, Wealth Manager, Insurance Agent, Business Partners, Estate Lawyer, Mortgage Broker, Work Manager, etc.
3. Financials: Bank accounts, investment accounts, retirement accounts, etc. List them all.
4. Insurance Policies: Life, auto, home, health, etc.
5. Business Ownership: Operating agreements, ownership structure, and instructions for what happens if you die.
6. Debt: Full docs for mortgage, car loans, student loans, etc.
7. Bills: Which are on auto-pay? How do you receive them?
8. Estate Planning: Will/trust, power of attorney, death wishes.
9. Random: Safe codes, home security system, etc.
10. Password Manager: Include recovery codes and instructions
This isn't fun work, but it's important. Your family will hopefully never have to thank you.
Gaunlet throw down time.

I know because I'm one of them. It's hard to describe the early days of flash videos before anyone knew what a "meme" even was.
