Tonight Israel murdered the bravest journalistic hero in Gaza, Anas Al-Sharif. For nearly two straight years, he documented the genocide of his people with courage & principle. Israel put him on a hit list because of his voice. Shame on this world & all who were silent.

Please, make sure everyone sees this. Yesterday, I messaged the bureau chief in Jerusalem of a major global newspaper—one known in every corner of the world. I asked a simple question: Did you report on the beheaded fetus who was killed alongside his mother in the Shati Refugee Camp on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. local time? Their reply? “Thanks for the suggestion.” When I offered to send them the footage via WhatsApp, and even help connect them with the families, they answered: “Thank you and don’t worry. We have a great team.” But I do worry. Because it’s been 82 hours since that fetus was beheaded in his mother’s womb, and still—nothing. No coverage. No headlines. No outrage. This is not a suggestion. This is a crime. A horror. One that every journalist with a conscience should have reported the moment it happened. I followed up again, just to see if they were planning to report on it. No response. Silence. I can’t help but wonder: has there been an explicit order not to report this? I’ve scoured the mainstream media. I haven’t found a single mention. But that phrase—“Thanks for the suggestion”—still echoes painfully in my
