Shameless

A message to all resident doctors from Stella Vig, NHS England's Medical Director for Secondary Care.

@XelenX1 Striking for a higher wage whilst also striking because there are too many candidates for the posts available is quite an interesting position. Surely Wes doesn’t need to pay you more if there are 13 others waiting for your job.

The analogy is flawed, Martin. Junior doctors, being still in training, are more like local councillors who get paid less than £20k, whereas MPs are like fully qualified consultants who earn between £110k and £145k. Doctors also have the benefit of having a job for life (unless they kill or sexually assault their patients, as many do) whereas some MPs, especially Wes, could easily lose their job in a few years.

Great news! A NW patient is the UK's first to receive gene-editing therapy. Well done @MFTnhs MRI team & congrats to the patient! This groundbreaking treatment could end lifelong transfusions & transform care. Info: bit.ly/4l9vv8f #GeneTherapy #NHS #Casgevy #thalassaemia

Bob Vylan has had all his concerts for Europe, and the USA canceled. His career is over.

And there we have it folks! The NHS Plan doubling down on workforce substitution. But it will be just fine. Cos AI. assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/6866387f… Page 22
