From Helsinki 🇫🇮, FCA leadership this week came together at the @FCA_global Leadership Forum to strengthen collaboration and reaffirm a shared commitment to advancing education, peace, and livelihoods in crisis-affected communities. From commitment to the front lines! 🇨🇳🇺🇬 Today in Nakivale, Mr. Fan Xuecheng, Chargé d’Affaires ad Interim attended the Field Engagement & Commissioning of Food Assistance to Refugees Under the China Emergency Humanitarian Assistance Project (CHAP). By delivering timely relief assistance to vulnerable refugees in Uganda, the project fully embodies the vision of a China-Africa community with a shared future and consolidates the profound traditional friendship between China and Uganda.

Today, we commissioned the China Emergency/Humanitarian Assistance Project in Nakivale Refugee Settlement. Through the project, we shall provide food, sanitary supplies & other relief support to newly arrived refugees, supporting urgent humanitarian needs and restoring dignity to vulnerable families.

Through our Complementary Pathways programme supported by @UNHCRuganda, we facilitated the departure of Mojahed Mnzool, a Sudanese refugee, to the United Kingdom for work. This marks the first placement to the UK through labour mobility pathways. He has since arrived in Manchester, where he will work as a Power Lineman (Electrical Engineer).

For years, Christine & Lina’s dreams of higher education were on hold. Today, that wait is over. In partnership with @OPMUganda, @RefugeesUganda, @GovUganda, we have launched the China-funded Humanitarian Assistance Project (CHAP), supporting new refugee arrivals in Nakivale & Kyangwali refugee settlements. The project, supported by the Government of China, will provide hot meals, psychosocial support, dignity kits & play materials for children and families. The launch was officiated by @R_Nabbanja, Prime Minister of Uganda, @LillianAber, Hon Eng Onek Hilary Obaloker, Hon Okello Oryem Henry, Commissioner Patrick Okello, Mr. @WycliffeNsheka, the Chinese Ambassador to Uganda and other distinguished officials. Together, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting & empowering refugees.

In 2025, through #IDEC & #TOGETHER projects, we supported 5,000+ persons with disabilities with care, psychosocial support, school enrolment, and empowered caregivers. Join us to reach even more.
