Did the refs miss a "too many men" against CHI right before their goal? Looked like the guy coming on touched the puck early. What'd they say on the broadcast?

@EdmontonOilers @sentinelstorage A shame that the NHL doesn’t know what “possession” means, that was such a beautiful goal! Savoie should never be taken off the top line again! But two in the period, I’m more than happy with! Defence looking great, but a little more shaky. Luckily Jars has his confidence back!!!

@bcurlock The words of Bob Stauffer. The Oilers are a meritocracy. Is it really though? OEG tells us that players have to earn spots and yet another example of this being quite the opposite.

I've seen a lot of Samanski outrage in the last 24 hours. I guess I would say be cautious on this. Vasily Podkolzin went through this early in his Oilers tenure. Savoie did as well. He should play over some others for sure. His time will come.

@mathewjdp As usual, excellent analysis. 🫵 Outworked on the boards. Cutesy passing all night. Refused to shoot. PP looked lost. 25 + 96 struggles continue. 22 + 10 played great. The officiating? It's crazy the amount of stuff FLA gets away with. Hooks, holds, interference.

Issue today for me was breakouts. Edm shot share was 14-5 when Bouchard was on the ice. As soon as he left the ice, Fla took advantage 14-6. If Edm's opponent is still winning the goal share during #2's minutes, Edm doesn't stand a chance. This cannot happen. Edm needs it's Dman to be better (Walman and Nurse). This game isn't significant towards the standings but the overall theme this season isn't a good one. Murphy, Frederic, and Savoie had strong games tonight. I also thought Samanski played well. Slot shot final count Edm: 10 Fla: 11 Inner Slot final count Edm: 7 Fla: 5 Overall, the defensive play was still good. It was just the inability to create offensively. The forwards rely on the Dman to get them the puck. That was very poorly done tonight if it wasn't Bouchard, Ekholm or Murphy doing it.
