Yesterday, on the Feast of the Most Precious Blood of Our Lord, the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X consecrated 4 bishops without papal mandate. On that day, three years ago, Cardinal “Tucho” Fernandez was appointed Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. He is the author of books on the “art” of kissing and other much spicier topics. A few months ago, he caused considerable controversy after publishing a document “teaching” that the titles “Mediatrix of All Graces” and “Co-Redemptrix” cannot be applied to Our Lady. On that day, one year ago, we discovered that the motu proprio Traditiones Custodes - a document used to persecute the faithful who desire the Traditional Mass - was based on a lie. In reality, the vast majority of bishops were satisfied with the greater freedom granted by Pope Benedict to the Traditional Rite. This time, it is the episcopal consecrations that everyone is talking about. Carrying them out against the Pope’s will is strange. It would be helpful to know why the Holy Father does not accept these bishops, while accepting so many others who, by their (im)moral lives and (bad) doctrine, cause scandal and lead souls away from the path of salvation. Could the same be said of these new bishops? Leo XIV was the first Pope to refuse a personal meeting with the Superior General of the SSPX since its foundation in 1970. Fr. David Pagliarani has tried by various means, since August of last year, to be received in papal audience, but has received no reply. However, the Holy Father has granted audiences to various groups of Orthodox (separated from the Catholic Church for 1,000 years), to the pseudo-Anglican “bishopess” (a religion invented by a king who wanted a divorce), met with Muslims, David Axelrod (responsible for Barack Obama’s terrible policies), and a whole array of people whose lives have been dedicated to fighting against God’s law. In addition to not wanting to meet with them, the first time the Holy Father spoke to them was in a letter sent just one (!) day before the consecrations. I don’t know who Pope Leo’s advisors are, but this is not how it’s done. The Pope, as the name indicates, must be a Father; and not just of some, but of all Catholics. Let us pray for the unity of the Church.

As regards the lay faithful, those who formally adhere to the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X are to be considered schismatic and excommunicated.

When “Oprah” stepped out of the car my jaw dropped to the floor 😳
