To all my friends teaching international trade courses, we just released some new figures for your lecture 1. Take a look at the latest edition of our Data Blog, which nicely illustrates the pattern of trade and protection: wto.org/english/blogs_…

Me: I've been promoted to full professor! 5 y/o: Weren't you already a professor? Me: Well, yes. 5 y/o: Oh. Despite of her lack of enthusiasm, a big thank you to all colleagues, co-authors, editors, reviewers, and family and friends who have helped along the way!

@ferdinandomonte @TradeDiversion @jessiehandbury Saw your fascinating paper on mobility zones. I was wondering if it is possible to use your data to test the hypothesis that alleged labor shortages are driven by Covid-related migration of workers away from areas of job creation. Does the hypothesis sound plausible and testable?

Possono dunque offrire indicazioni sugli eventuali meccanismi compensativi. lavoce.info/archives/57704…
