@fiddler_mike Hi Mike - Yes, it’s running 37 minutes late on its inward journey. It was on time but took 19 minutes longer than expected between Kingsclere and Wootton St Lawrence. It’s nearing Ibworth Turn, so it’s still at least 25 minutes from Basingstoke. Sorry for any inconvenience. Bea

Garden waste customers can put their real trees out for collection on their normal collection day, after Mon 8 Jan. Trees over 6 feet should be cut in half. All trees will be turned into ProGrow soil conditioner. basingstoke.gov.uk/christmas-tree…

This year there will be 19 Christmas tree recycling drop-off points across the borough, available from today (Fri 2 Jan) until Sat 31 Jan 2025. Find your nearest site using the link in the comments.

@HighwaysSEAST hi. At the A34/M3 junction, one lane of the southbound entrance to the M3 is closed off. Do you know how long this closure will be in place. It was causing long tailbacks this morning. Cheers.

@BensBookmarks @HighwaysSEAST Yes. This totally. Yesterday I learnt that the left hand lane actually now seems to go all the way round to the M3. Although it isn’t signed at all. The exit off the junction to the M3 also seems to have been narrowed.

@HighwaysSEAST The lanes on the roundabout of the M3/A34 junction for the roadworks have been changed recently and the effect is confusion and near collisions for southbound traffic coming off the A34 to the M3. Queue jumpers in the left lane, confused drivers in the right lane.

Lane 1 (of 4) is closed on the #M20 eastbound between J4 and J5 near #Maidstone due to a collision. Recovery is being organised. Delays of at least 30 minutes on approach.

It would be better to close the right hand lane on the southbound A34 and manage the traffic into the two left hand lanes as they enter the junction. And allow both lanes to go to the M3 southbound. There were a lot of confused and irate drivers this morning…

@HighwaysSEAST Hi, at the A34 M3 interchange, southbound, the right hand lane on the junction is closed off but there is no warning of this. The only way to get on the M3 south from the A34 is to effectively go round in the left hand lane. This is causing traffic problems 1/2
