The whole JJ McCarthy situation is hilarious man. People watched Sam Darnold revive his career after being given up on time and time again bash the Vikings for giving up on him. Then they look at JJ McCarthy, and say give up after 10 games The hypocrisy is just unreal 😭

Don’t worry Vikings fans. If we kept Darnold we would not have made it to the Super Bowl. We would have failed on five 3rd and short conversions after trying to pass it 50 yards down the field each of those tries. And that would have been in the wild card round.

@DustBaker This is completely true coupled with the fact that Sam Darnold was very similar early in his career even so far as to have the silly seeing ghosts(nine parallel). I live in NY/NJ area and fans labeled him a bust. Some times patience and development are key

Been thinking about this since the NFC Championship, and it's probably wack, but here goes. Last offseason, we employed this logic: Sam Darnold choked in the two most important games of 2024 ➡️ Therefore, he will choke again in big games. That was wrong. This offseason, there's this temptation: J.J. McCarthy is injury-prone and isn't very good ➡️ Therefore, he will get hurt in 2026 and won't get much better. Maybe we should learn a lesson, and take a leap of faith? Thinking out loud. 🤔

People arguing the Vikings blew it by losing out on Darnold and then saying to give up on JJ are truly not thinking about what they are saying. Development takes time. How do you think the Jets feel?

@TGjallarhorn1 People got to wake up. KOC is a great play designer but he cannot and will not adjust. Be balanced and call an offense that fits the strengths of your QB

If KOC was the coordinator and not the head coach he would have been fired by now. I know it’s not popular but he’s part of the issues.
