The UK welfare system is broken A couple with 3 young children on benefits: - Benefits: £76k - Salary: £10k - Take home: £86k A single earner: - Salary: £140k - Tax: £54k - Take home: £86k A family of five earning £10k is taking home just as much as a single person earning £140k. Why bother working when you can live on easy mode?

One thing we don’t do enough is celebrate trans and gay people. I hope 2026 is the year when every single Netflix show features multiple characters who are bi-gender, demi-sexual, 2Spirit, and polyamorous.
