My Ministry through the NCA manages govt spectrum resources. That has absolutely nothing to do with the running and administration of the stations which run on our spectrum.
An analogy would be to say I am responsible for managing and maintaining the road network. I have no control over the cars that run on the road or the conditions of the cars. That would be the responsibility of the car owners and mechanics.
I hope you have a better understanding of the complete distinction between the management of spectrum used by a media house - whether govt owned or private - and the content or management of the said media house.

Frankly, I may be naive and require further clarification regarding your assertion that “My Ministry has No mandate over GBC.” Are you referring solely to government communications and publications produced by the GBC, or does this statement extend to the GBC as an entire entity? This point is particularly surprising given that your ministry has recently directed the NCA to suspend broadcasts on seven radio stations. I had understood these media outlets to operate in a capacity similar to the GBC. Could you please tell the precise boundaries of your mandate? It is important for us to understand whether your oversight is limited to certain functions of the GBC or if it encompasses the broader operational framework of the organisation. 🤝
