The target isn't just "Q2"… the phrasing was: "Once the V14 release series is fully done." For those of us on HW3, that’s the real metric to watch. In Tesla software terms, a "series being fully done" usually means the main architecture has reached a stable, wide-release state on the flagship hardware with no major regressions left to patch. Only then does the optimization work for the "Lite" version usually hit its stride. Essentially, V14 needs to be a "solved" product before they can trim the fat to make it fit comfortably within the compute constraints of our HW3 cars. Ashok mentioned Q2 2026 (April–June) as the probable window, but that timeline is clearly tethered to how smoothly the V14 rollout goes.
