@BpdLion Yes, it’s terribly isolating to want male-free spaces when we’re getting naked and told “no, you have to let males peep on you or stay home”. It’s baffling how many people are staunch advocates for peepers and flashers these days, and think women are optional.

Let me trace the timeline here because nobody's connecting it. Step 1: Scrape the entire internet. Every book, every article, every conversation, every piece of art, every forum post. Do it without asking. Do it without paying. Step 2: Train a model on all of it. Call it "artificial intelligence." Step 3: Go to BlackRock's Infrastructure Summit and announce: "We see a future where intelligence is a utility, like electricity or water, and people buy it from us on a meter." Step 3 is where you sell people's own knowledge back to them. On a meter. They took the collective output of human thought, compressed it into a model, and now they want to charge you by the token to access a version of what you and everyone you know already created. One Reddit user put it perfectly: "They stole all this data from us, the people, our life's work, creativity, art, by devouring the internet and blowing through all copyright laws. Now they want to sell it back to us in the form of a utility." Imagine if someone photocopied every book in the public library, burned the library down, and then opened a subscription service for the copies. That's the metered intelligence business model. And they're pitching it to infrastructure investors as though they invented water.

That data doesn’t exist because trans women have been allowed to use the spaces that match their gender for decades. I would imagine that if the new EHRC guidelines are followed by most businesses then you will see that data within the next 3-5 years. But now it’s your turn Joanne, show me the data, from a peer reviewed empirical study that claims that genuine trans women using women’s single sex spaces causes more harm, then I’d be maybe show genuine concern. The fact that there hasn’t been one, yet there are numerous data led studies based upon anti trans violence shows that yours is a straw man argument based upon your perceptions and dislike of a socially vulnerable minority. You don’t get to exclude an entire demographic of people just because you don’t like them. We did this already with apartheid and segregation and look how that ended.

Reform-led Durham council cut off funding to the annual Pride celebrations. So trade unions launched a fundraiser to save it, eventually raising more money than was cut. Which means this year's Pride will be bigger than ever. In the 1980s, the LGBT+ community raised thousands of pounds to help striking miners and their families. When we stick up for each other, we can achieve anything.

@QuietXPerson @ThomasWillett9 @Glinner I understand your point. But that is not the case this words! Only a handful of words that are offensive and have a precise history have that dynamic. This one is absolutely not one of them. He just wanted to use that card to label someone and I called on his hypocrisy.

You claimed gay women head the GC movement. Joanne is not a gay woman Neither is Bindel, she's a homophobe who thinks sexuality is a choice To claim that there women represent lesbians is offensive. Most lesbians are not transphobes

@xoxoBASHBACK @hellomoe123 Until 1994 it was illegal for me to be in a relationship with another adult gay male. I completely ignored those laws because they breached my human rights. It is inevitable that trans folks will ignore any “rules” which breach theirs. It is perfectly morally right to do so.

OK listen up. At some point it’s going to dawn on you that if the ban on trans women sharing spaces with other women makes zero difference to the safety of women it was never about the safety of women in the first place.

In the 80s, laws were enacted which directly persecuted gay people like me. In this decade, the same thing is happening to trans folks. To trans people I say: the LGBT+ community overturned those laws & reclaimed those rights. And we’ll do the same again for your rights too.

@tinybird420 I think I knew from a young age, but I also had this thought in my head that I could put it off until I "had life sorted". It wasn't until I transitioned that I realised how much I'd been suppressing or how miserable I was. I'm so happy now.

Did any other autistic trans people have an experience like mine? I literally had 0 conscious inkling that I was trans until I first learned about the existence of trans people in my early 20s and then came out at 24 in 2016. Before then I just always thought I was ugly. And /1

LGB Alliance
LGB Alliance@AllianceLGB·
We are disgusted by the anti-lesbian video posted by the doctor/entrepreneur Helen Webberley. One of the reasons we formed LGB Alliance was that the entire concept of sexual orientation was being erased by the “LGBTQ” sector. Lesbians in particular were - are - suffering from abuse for their same-sex attraction. Nancy Kelley, then CEO of Stonewall, referred to lesbians as “sexual racists”. The Supreme Court understood what homosexuality means. In its ruling of 16 April 2025 it clarified the point that lesbians are biological women who are attracted to other biological women. Of course, there are still heterosexual men who claim to be “lesbians” - egged on and applauded not just by the LGBTQ sector but by major human rights organizations, from Amnesty to the UN. Our progress against this malign trend is slow. The brave young women Serena Worley and @MaeveHalligan dared to stand up for lesbian rights at the Cambridge Union. They spoke passionately - and they spoke the truth. Their superb speeches rattled the homophobic doctor Webberley, whose income is threatened by this truth. She posted an utterly vile attack on these young women, calling them “selfish” for standing up for the right to exclude men from lesbian dating apps. The people she calls “transgender women” are heterosexual men. We do not have “gender self-ID” in the UK. They are men and they do not belong in lesbian spaces. Helen Webberley exemplifies today’s trendy - and often lucrative - homophobia. We reject her abusive attack and everything she stands for.
