Good Morning Britain
Steph Richards is a trans woman who works for the charity Endometriosis South Coast as their parliamentary engagement officer which is a voluntary role, but in the last week, she has seen a tsunami of hate directed her way. Some women online have called her appointment deeply offensive, but Steph says this is just another excuse for transphobia. Steph talks to @PaulBrandITV and @kategarraway

🚨📣 New FSU Member Testimonial: Ace North Dr Ace North spent nearly 15 years as a research scientist in Oxford’s biology department. He became concerned when Equality, Diversity and Inclusion displays appeared in his workplace promoting gender identity ideology — including claims that sex is on a spectrum, not a binary. As a biologist, Ace believed these claims were scientifically misleading and inappropriate in an academic setting — especially as they were presented in a way that discouraged challenge. Inspired by an interview with Richard Dawkins, Ace responded by adding a quote offering a critical perspective. Over time, he added further quotes from well-known gender-critical figures. The department later described the stickers as “defacement” and “hateful”, warning staff of disciplinary action if the individual responsible was identified. Ace was eventually identified and met with HR. No formal sanction was issued, though he was instructed to stop. We supported Ace by writing to the Head of Department, seeking assurances on free speech neutrality and recognition that gender-critical beliefs are protected under the Equality Act 2010. Over 40% of the cases we handle involve individuals penalised for holding gender-critical views. Watch Ace’s testimonial below 👇

“If you have a binary category, it can’t be porous. The reason women have sex-based rights, including the right to separate spaces, is because men as a class can pose a threat to women. You can’t include men in the category and still preserve those protections.” Brilliant piece from @jo_bartosch interviewing @akuareindorf – both clear and legally grounded. Well worth a read. “Some think Strasbourg will ride in as a white knight. But the European court has never ruled directly on a clash between trans and women’s rights at this level, and there’s no reason to assume it would disregard women’s rights or deny the UK a margin of appreciation in how it balances them.” 🎯🎯 thecritic.co.uk/gender-self-id…

For all those idiots who find it impossible to do their homework & all the tv producers who insist putting people on who know nothing about sport. The big sports brought in policies that stopped males from stealing places after Laurel Hubbard & Castor Semenya, that’s the only reason you didn’t see more. There are loads in female football still. At lower levels in the USA alone there has been documented over a 1000 males stealing awards, places, money & opportunities from women & girls! Particularly in sports where there are cash prizes. How many is too many?

@GMB This should be a woman working for the charity Endometriosis South Coast, not a man poking fun at womanhood! He isn’t receiving ‘hate’—women and their allies are simply calling him out, holding him accountable for his insulting behaviour!

Transphobia is the word they roll out to bully women into silence. Women don’t want unqualified men talking about our reproductive health when we have spent centuries being treated like ‘small men’ in the first place due to medical misogyny. This man started his womanhood cross-dressing in his female family members clothes and then took his fetish full-time. He does not even think women are a unique sex class so why is he being put in a role in Women’s health?

@GMB The irony in the replies... A. The replies prove Steph's point. There's no outrage when cs people of the opposite sex are in comparable positions. B. Endometriosis has been found in males.

@GMB As offensive as someone putting on dark glasses and claiming to speak for the blind. I suspect Kate gets it…but she’s tied to the ITV line that these men are women. Same line that Paul pushes at every opportunity.

@GMB Steph Richards is a man in a totally inappropritate role... maybe he should go work for a prostate charity and let a woman ( XX) who can experience and understand endometriosis take this role.

Steph Richards is a MAN. A man who pretends to be a woman. HE has seen objections to HIS appointment - not “a tsunami of hate” - that’s sensationalist, inflammatory bollocks. Women do not want men who fetishise their existence in charge of an endometriosis charity. ‘Steph’ does not have and has never had a womb. Because he is MALE. He has never had and will never have a period. He does not have and can never have endometriosis. He cannot ever understand the experience of endometriosis sufferers. For him it’s just a fun bit of titillation for his autogynaephilia. Women objecting to a cross-dressing, lying MAN representing their needs is not ‘hate’. It’s self defence. I cannot wait for all this to be over and for shills to the patriarchy like you to be held accountable for the harmful anti-reality propaganda you spread.

@GMB He's a man who campaigns vigorously as a trans activist for the rollback of women's rights. His interest in the subject of endometriosis is nothing to do with care for women but everything to do with his own validation. That's why it's offensive.

@GMB “Tsunami of hate”? “Transphobia”? This is how anyone who disagrees with Steph’s appointment is described. Easy headlines, but wrong for the most part. This is how Steph speaks to a female nurse, BTW: Still think Steph cares about what women go through?
