Steph Richards is a trans woman who works for the charity Endometriosis South Coast as their parliamentary engagement officer which is a voluntary role, but in the last week, she has seen a tsunami of hate directed her way. Some women online have called her appointment deeply offensive, but Steph says this is just another excuse for transphobia. Steph talks to @PaulBrandITV and @kategarraway

He became concerned when Equality, Diversity and Inclusion displays appeared in his workplace promoting gender identity ideology — including claims that sex is on a spectrum, not a binary. At lower levels in the USA alone there has been documented over a 1000 males stealing awards, places, money & opportunities from women & girls! Particularly in sports where there are cash prizes. Transphobia is the word they roll out to bully women into silence. Women don’t want unqualified men talking about our reproductive health when we have spent centuries being treated like ‘small men’ in the first place due to medical misogyny. This man started his womanhood cross-dressing in his female family members clothes and then took his fetish full-time. He does not even think women are a unique sex class so why is he being put in a role in Women’s health?

@GMB He's a man who campaigns vigorously as a trans activist for the rollback of women's rights. His interest in the subject of endometriosis is nothing to do with care for women but everything to do with his own validation. That's why it's offensive.
