The bottom line is that lifestyle alone leads to dismal results which are ineffective for most BUT necessary for ALL as additional treatments such as medications and bariatric surgery are ineffective without including diet change for the treatment of #obesity see study below 5/

The values that apply to obesity treatment are noticeably different than treatment of other medical issues such as: high cholesterol, hypertension, and heart disease where lifestyle change is not overemphasized and further medications or treatments and not met with controversy 4/
