What happens when you stand in front of a room filled with people from the traditional arts, institutions, education, creative tech, and culture… and start talking about NFTs, AI, cryptoart, AR hijacks, digital ownership, hype cycles, and why some of the “worst ideas” of my career became the foundation for everything that followed? Tomorrow I’m keynote speaker at the Creative Tech Scotland Gathering at the Edinburgh Futures Institute in Edinburgh. Popped in today to see the space. Honestly, I’ve no idea how this is going to go 😅 The whole talk is built around creative risk, ridicule, disruption, perseverance, and how artists navigate technological change before culture eventually catches up. Should be interesting. Wish me luck!

‘the between’ by @m0dest___ is a true masterpiece to me i have 5 extra editions and want to give them away to enter, all i ask of you is to spend some time with the work and comment your favorite thing about it or your favorite thing about m0dest in general the entire purpose of this giveaway is to bring more attention to the art and hopefully get even a few more people to fall in love with it. no need to repost. no need to tag friends i believe the piece is very under appreciated. 25 minutes of original visuals and music debuted as an immersive art installation in a custom-fabricated trailer in marfa, texas last year inside the trailer was a single bench surrounded by 3d-printed geometric walls, projection-mapped displays, spatial audio and custom lighting that shifts and breathes as the piece unfolded even 6 months later, it still gives me chills as i continue finding new stories in the piece and noticing details i missed before 💙
