Used to play with planes. Enjoyed playing with planes. Stayed in some good hotels. Went somewhere hot. Came back. No longer play with planes.

Remember some key rules for any defence investment plan announcements 1. The bullshit will be visible from space 2. There will be cuts 3. There will be shiny gizzits

With hindsight, putting the paragliding club at the bottom of the runway wasn't the greatest idea.

Fact: Flights going to Dubai don’t have episodes of the Flintstones on their entertainment systems, but flights going to Abu Dhabi do.

Sorry I haven’t tweeted for 8 weeks. I made the mistake of asking my girlfriend how she was feeling.

To view it in simplistic terms, you can't apply any effect unless you are physically there, stand fast all you information operations and air power folks, we get it, no need to constantly bloody well go on about it.

@clark_aviation We had some at air cadets, for some reason we had to ‘borrow’ a traffic cone as the base.

Trev Clark's Obscure Aviation History 🚁
I wonder who remembers the Cox PT-19 control line model from the 1960s? I had one, but seldom had much success with it! Cut fingers getting it to start, usually failed launches and if it did fly, being too giddy to stand upright after a couple of minutes flying...great fun! 😂😂

Temperatures in regions like Helmand could hit 45C to 50C. The inside of the porta loos frequently exceeded 50C plus. I can’t imagine anyone knocking one out in those temperatures, in fact I can!!! I’m sure all that still went on, what’s the betting there’s a few Portaloo w**kers out there? Remember, if the Portaloo is a rockin, don't come a knockin. No porta loos in my day, it was the good old ShoveI Recce!! But I hear ‘The Shovel Recce’ is not allowed on exercises anymore! That’s why exercise areas are dotted with Porta-loos. If you need to go, do you have to now put your hand up? Let us hope they have porta-loos behind enemy lines I see trust issues here. IED’s when you lift the seat or drone targeting. BULLIES AND BULLSHIT Warning! If easily offended, I really do advise you not to read this book. clivewardauthor.com UK kindle or free on Kindle Unlimited also available in paperback. amazon.co.uk/dp/B08QBQFPKL/…

Interesting conversation with a work colleague of Sam yesterday. Started talking about my old job as a rat. She asked me how I managed to get used to being exposed to so much trauma and tragedy. My reply actually surprised me. I said, ‘if you’re lucky you don’t get used to it’

Been to a garden party with Sam’s work. Now in the car driving home. I’m getting a bit of feedback from the boss. It appears I failed to follow the instructions I was given before we arrived at the location. I may have said some things which I wasn’t supposed to say. Whoops.

@Highland_Bull @thinkdefence Me 2. Pressure refuelling, posh. Canberra you had to open each tank and pump it like at the petrol station... took ages.

As a child, I thought that "stoked" meant that someone had just come back from Stoke-on-Trent. People who said they were stoked always looked really happy and I always wanted to get the bus into Stoke. Never been.
