@jonburkeUK Santa Monica, California has the arguably the best bike lanes of anywhere in the states. I’ve ridden from the end of Ocean Ave to Century City (~10 miles). The whole trip was on designated bike paths. I don’t know if Americans would use them as much tho.

The reason there will be no ‘fuel crisis’ in the Netherlands is that every town, city, & village in the land is connected by fully-segregated cycle lanes. It’s possible for the Dutch to simply stop driving while fuel is short and prices are high. That’s real energy resilience.

not sure that I have "Germanic roots"--my mother's family was Hungarian, my father's Irish + German Jewish (which I don't think counts as "Germanic"). & not sure that I believe in genetic determinism--national or ethnic traits. to me, Twitter is a ceaselessly moving stream -- almost literally a collective stream of consciousness(es). none is particularly important, all are fleeting, ephemeral. as "Finnegans Wake" is the vast collective voice of sleepers & dreamers, on an elevated scale; all sorts of nonsense & vulgarity mixed with startling passages of wisdom, beauty, poetry. for every silly troll on Twitter there is at least one worthwhile voice, serious, sincere, wise, valuable.

it certainly needs to be investigated seriously--but this isn't likely to happen while T***p is in power. one of numerous inexplicable events within the past several years that, lacking thorough investigation by the media, passes into a cloud of speculation & skepticism. while the "assassination attempt" looked staged it did involve deaths; & if it involved deaths, in what way could it have been staged? as hard to believe that the debacle, complete with swiftly healing ear, was not staged as to believe that it was.

If you actually listen to Clavicular, he’s almost like a postmodern abstract Rodney Dangerfield in some kind of John Waters mockumentary about a teenage playboy. He reminds me a bit of Alex DeLarge in A Clockwork Orange, but with a different preoccupation and post-his experimental programming. His self-deprecation is brutal and hilarious. He’s kind of like a self-aware, experimental Kardashian (like AI, each new iteration of this action-oriented self-conscious spectacle will be more self-aware— this self awareness is more achievable by being male). I drop all these names just to make quick comparisons, but he’s really his own thing. I love it. Nihilism is woven into the fabric of everything in our modern world. Yet it’s a crime to be inert, so anything that keeps you going is permitted. Capital is king, not virtue. So we run on this nihilistic autopilot where you don’t want to feel too much or too little and disrupt the wheels turning on the oiled machine. We need a north star, so we cling to the first thing available. Aesthetics are first principles. They are practical and obvious. But as it was said by Thee Temple ov Psychick Youth (an occult group in the underground music scene that has probably influenced today’s popular culture more than most people realize): “…there is no higher aim than thee OBVIOUS. Transmuted/healed nihilism becomes a yogic acceptance of what is. It is a purposeful, productive inertia. The beautiful thing about autistic incels is how their moralism is difficult to reconcile with the current condition of society and masculine drive. It’s very difficult to be a good man in this world if you’re not in an isolated control group or you are not guided by anyone with commensurate strength to nurture yours. To be good, yet still powerful, strong, disciplined and free to claim territory, is not something men today are encouraged or taught how to align. Meanwhile, in other entertainment news, I just watched an episode of Euphoria. Spoiler alert, it’s a big advertisement for OF. I think Clavicular’s publicity stunts are bit more entertaining, more honest, more self-assessed and ironically, less ham fisted and degenerate.
