Introducing our first ever QantasLink @Airbus A220, fresh out of the paint shop 🎨 The aircraft is set to arrive in Australia before the end of the year and is the first of 29 A220s coming to the Qantas Group as part of its domestic fleet renewal program. The next-generation A220s have double the range of the Boeing 717s they’re gradually replacing, use less fuel, and are capable of flying direct between any two cities or towns in Australia. The first A220 features a striking livery design and is the sixth aircraft to join Qantas’ Flying Art Series, which has showcased Aboriginal art since 1994’s Wunala Dreaming in partnership with @balarinjidesign. Around 100 painters worked on the livery for two weeks, which features 20,000 dots and is based on artwork by senior Pitjantjatjara artist Maringka Baker. Telling the Dreaming story of two sisters who travel across remote Australia together, covering vast distances to find their way home, the aircraft is named after the artwork “Minyma Kutjara Tjukurpa - The Two Sisters Creation Story".

Hey @NZRugby ... about the Snorting Table... I mean, Ranruly Shield. I know you'll be disappointed, but will take any action against those involved? Maybe test the entire team every 2-3 days for 2-3 months? Maybe tell them to own up, or the entire team is booted? Anything?

This is a great thread by @avgasaddiction…with an honest assessment of his own recent experience. I totally agree that the outcome doesn’t necessarily mean the incident was well handled, luck runs out sometimes. As for turn backs… its a no from me unless i was well above 1000’ AGL. The manoeuvre is marginal at best and has resulted in many fatalities. As pilots we need to be honest with ourselves, we can always learn something from others. #WePilots #aviation #GeneralAviation

Ignoring the fact this leased aircraft was stolen from the leasing company during the Ukraine invasion, and will be operating in Russia without insurance or access to genuine spare parts, I'm curious as to the circumstances that resulted in it ending up in a field.

This is insane: today the Caproni Ca.3 replica, the world’s only WWI bomber in flight conditions, flew in formation with an @ItalianAirForce F-35B over Istrana (the HH.101 you can see was carrying the ItAF photographers).
