Diageo has agreed to sell its 65% stake in EABL to Asahi Group, a Japanese company for $2.3B (approximately KES296.50B) equivalent to KES576.68 per share. Asahi Group values 100% of EABL at $4.8B (approximately KES619B) EABL's closing price was 234.75 yesterday. Diageo is selling its EABL stake at a +145.7% premium.
