And that needs to start with @UKLabour standing by the pledges they made to #WASPI women before the election. That betrayal has cut deep and will lose Labour many votes as it did yesterday.
@SaulStaniforth Interesting that your footage was filmed outside the Royal Courts of Justice. They ruled that the government had no legal obligation to notify women individually of changes to their state pension age affected by primary legislation. 🤷♂️
Government chooses to treat #WASPI women and @PHSOmbudsman with utter contempt, refusing to acknowledge the harm done by @DWPgovuk maladministration. We are considering all options.
I’m proud to have led a letter to the DWP Secretary of State calling for justice for WASPI women, signed by over 100 MPs. WASPI women have waited far too long for justice. They did everything right, yet were denied proper notice and the chance to plan for retirement. The Ombudsman is clear, the public is clear, and now MPs across Parliament are clear too: compensation must happen. For the women who campaigned in all weathers, raised funds, attended conferences - regardless of poor health or family commitments. Who have lobbied their MPs locally and protested in Westminster.
