@A_dmg04 Steam: 23, BNG: 21, Epic: 0, Second Steam/BNG: 0. Also I confirm that using Epic Launcher has restored 6v6 performance in Crucible to 80-110 fps, which was normal previously. Second Steam acc has better performance than primary, but still the low % is 50 frames, unlike Epic ~80.

@Forcer69 PC release with frame rate bump and couple of QoL is enough. I’m all in for it, but they are probably not doing it. I would also like D2 Classic up to Forsaken with all seasons, but that’s even less feasible. :)

I’m still under the impression that a D1 remake/remaster is not worth developing. However, I do think a D1 re-release for PC and next gen consoles would be a good idea. Pretty much, just take D1 as it is and give it as many D2 QoL features as possible. Don’t know how difficult it would be on a technical side, but here’s a few QoL features D1 could get. - Cross-play/Cross-save - In game LFG - In game Collections/Grimore - 60+ FPS - FOV Slider - Full Auto setting - Multiple fast travel points per planet - The ability to open your map & change location without being in orbit - Mantling - More Vault Space - The ability to directly delete items from your vault/postmaster - The ability to open your vault in your inventory - Vault search features - The ability to spin weapons in the inspect screen :) - Adding more stat details to weapons (D1 guns don’t even tell you their RPM) - Loadouts - Shaders on weapons - D2 Shader System - Transmog (with no synthweave) - Ornaments being permit unlocks and not one time use - Favorite system for cosmetic - Updated HUD icons/visuals (Super Icon on the bar, unique exotic icons, Ability buffs being color coded, weapon buffs barely above the super bar, etc) - Using your super gets announced in chat - Titles - Commendations? - Updated Icon next to your name (Right now it just shows your level, so up to 40. When it could be changed to your class icon or light level) - Ghost mods/stats being customizable (Not necessarily needed, but I really dislike how the ghost in D1 can affect your stats) - Faction package carry over (After TTK Vendors could only hold one reward package. Meaning if you played a lot and forgot to check them you would lose out on faction loot) - Boss health bars being on the HUD (In D1 you only get the information about a boss’ health while looking at it) - And last, but definitely least. Add a counter for all destination collectibles. (Gold chest/Calcified fragments have it, why don’t Dead Ghost?) I think that’s everything. There’s a few things I did leave out because it would drastically affect gameplay/add some power creep (Origin Traits, Finishers, Skimmers, etc)

@tomwarren Forcing studio with the legacy of ID to do only SP games is very short sited. Besides they just did 10 years of Doom, but even if it's not new IP, why not Quake or Heretic (TPS?) or Hexen with what they learned from TDA. Personally I want new Quake with proper campaign and multi.

while the id layoffs have been deep, I understand the changes haven’t turned id into a support studio. Instead, they’re now in the early stages of a new Doom game

@JNavok Sure, I just don't see the potential in Halo anymore and from outside perspective Bethesda/Obsidian doesn't seem to have much better production pipeline. I also wonder is it wise to be dependent from Epic in mid term, besides the monopoly, they also hold a competitor platform.

@foorzeee What matters isn’t what the prior regime did but what the current one does. It’s clear that they want titles that break even or generate profit so Occam’s razor is that they didn’t see the revenue cover the costs, including the tech.

Based on the Doom launch figures, doesn't feel like there were enough fans that the ones remaining fathoming the situation matters. Put another way, the cuts now seem justified. The team was left to cook, they cooked, the audience didn't appear at numbers high enough to justify the salaries (the dlc yesterday hit a 13k peak on steam), and so it goes. It makes the MS choices decidedly rational.

Sources say they can't fathom how the id Software fans have come to know continues in its current state. Maintaining id Tech, the Doom engine, seems especially impossible to them following the scale of layoffs. Microsoft declined to comment. kotaku.com/the-cuts-at-do…

@PaulTassi @Forbes Not happening. 😕 Sony had 2 year window after 10th anniv. and TFS and didn’t push for it. And the more I think about it, the more I believe the Sony “revenge plot” - not out of spite, but in order to force them to abandon Tiger and use Unreal. I mean just look at ID and Xbox.

@kiwitalkz No, I just didn't like the idea of "melee" combat in games with first person perspective. Same thing is stopping me from the new Indiana Jones game, but DOOM TDA at least I bought on sale from GMG. Also in general I prefer the "techno" story of 2016 instead the pivot to fantasy.

I wonder if DOOM: TDA didnt do that well commercially because of not just Gamepass but the Mick Gordon fallout as well. I know a lot of people first hand that refused to support DOOM: TDA because of that unfortunately. People underestimate how popular Mick is (and rightly so, the guy is ridiculously talented and on a personal note he is one of the nicest people I've ever met.) Microsoft and Bethesda had an ample amount of time to repair that relationship but did nothing. Granted, even if DOOM TDA did way better commercially, I still think Microsoft would've gutted Id Software because they are inept and have laid off successful studios before SIDENOTE: The Revelations soundtrack is 🔥 Finishing Move did a great job on the DLC and Mick's influence can be felt throughout.

@Mattincho @TheDoomDominion Well… I meant it more from the perspective of FPS games and also more on the PvP side. I just can’t imagine Quake, Doom or Wolf running on something else or Bungie shooters. But in any case I wish success to Digital Extremes and their games. For sure they are very important now.

@PaulTassi Nothing mentioned for PC frame drops/stutter. I’ve read some comments that is only on Steam which is kinda weird to me. I hope they will find a way, because it’s definitely something from the MoT update.

@NineCol @tuncerdeniz The problem of Marathon? Look at the size of the core teams who shipped OW or Apex or Helldivers 2, they grew only after they found success. By all means Marathon is good game but imho for what it offers now, it should be made by 100-150 ppl, not 350-400.

@tuncerdeniz Yeah. The crazy thing is that the biggest problem of Marathon is that is not Destiny 3. That's it, everything else is fantastic but that alone tanks the game in the eyes of the public. Specially after announcing the end of D2. Such a shame.

@oryxeleven Imho only people who are good at both could tell… which I’m not. :) Fighters are very hard, but my biased answer (as Quake loyalist) is towards FPS, just because I value more the freedom of movement. Plus many FPS games are played in teams which requires different kind of skill.

@PaulTassi @RyGilliam No🙂Many reasons, but mostly - it didn't felt like Destiny. Also lately Bungie forgot how to make good campaigns, again a lot of "go to" and "speak to", the flow isn't there... and the medium suggests more agency, I want to be involved, not just be the witness (pun not intended).

Look, Bungie obviously turned a lot of folks off with EoF, and that’s on them. But I’m having such a hard today not being annoyed at all the D2 fans who just wouldn’t shut up about Renegades being “Star Wars Slop” when it was such a great expansion.
