Atlassian products like JIRA have been down for… 4 days?? Incredible how this is happening. Not a few hours, but a few days at the #1 projects management SaaS. Let me plug @linear where I couldn’t imagine an outage this long (and is much more snappy to use than JIRA).

@GergelyOrosz @linear This is bonkers. If you want a JAMstack equivalent to Confluence, this is exactly why we built @forestryio and @tina_cms. - content in Markdown/JSON files - in your repo, under version control - built statically and easy to host/serve - user friendly CMS

@johncodes For @hitsaveorg we use Hugo, stored on GitHub, new blogs added/edited through @forestryio, and deployed through @render. Super easy and neat.

What are some good coding bootcamps? We're looking to hire a junior web developer @forestryio and might look to recent grads.

@derrickreimer I personally prefer forestry.io, have allergies for API's and graphql ;-) It also means, that my content is not held hostage by CMS and is safely available in my git at all times.

SavvyCal has an 11ty.dev based marketing, where our blog lives. I'm spending more time than I'd like porting finished articles over to markdown, so considering a headless CMS. Do you have direct experience with any of them?

@derrickreimer Hi, co-founder here. Forestry is only getting some of our attention right now while we get Tina ready to support those users in the future. Having said that, we have a vision that we’re really excited about when these tools merge and I’d be happy to share that with you.

Anyone know if @forestryio is still actively developed? Or is it essentially "deprecated" since it appears the company is working on Tina CMS?

@forestryio hi there! I've recently noticed that save operations take several minutes and up to a few hours which is a bit annoying... The storage is on github and the changes are very small. Any known issue on your side? Thanks for your help 😉

@Jenny__Anne @leeporte @unixdaemon @ClaritaLdn What’s the tech stack? If using #Nextjs the @tina_cms beta might be more suitable (created by the Forestry team)

@leeporte @unixdaemon @ClaritaLdn I would say a hesitant yes, providing the user is comfortable with enough git and changes don't get too gnarly. In the past, we've had more success showing folks how to use GH Desktop than the web UI. And depending on setup, things like @forestryio can be helpful.

Is the GitHub web UI easy enough to use that a non-technical person could update text content through it?
