rewatched this movie in a friend’s vc and it’s insane how it’s a 10/10 until that 2000s mandatory shoehorned in comedian voiced comic relief character showed up in the last act to ruin the vibes

This prologue scene in Treasure Planet where Jim while solar surfing, cuts the engine and plummets always floors me because of how accurately it treats the physics of a free fall. The sheer sense of weight, speed, and genuine air resistance they managed to capture. The violent camera shake perfectly mimicking how you'd experience it in a real dive.

I think it might be just bad luck between all of you, which is rare but definitely possible.
Hopefully the odds should even out for you after a while.
