@johnnyjoe1083 @CatholicSat I don’t attend a TLM but it seems that: your tone is very aggressive, he didn’t (at least in this tweet) say what you accuse him of saying, and I agree with him that many in the Church are trying to ostracize (or otherwise end) the TLM.

@DineshDSouza Just to be clear, this isn’t a comment in support of a conspiracy theory that she is a man. Just a comment on her education even at the end of a four year stint in an Ivy league school- either ignorant of the Latin or intentionally abusing the grammar for political ends.

@MassAesthetic @RorikWanka Are you talking about yourself or OP? It’s quite common to need an annulment due to a prior marriage because the church presumes the first marriage to be valid until declared otherwise. If this is OPs 1st marriage, it would still be presumed valid.

So here's my situation: - We had a wedding 23 years ago in the Episcopal Church. - I was Catholic, she was not - Was assured at the time that the marriage would be "valid, yet irregular" - She converted to Catholicism 12 years ago - No one cared or found a problem at Catholic Churches we attended with our marriage which produced four children - Move to a traditional Church - Marriage found to be invalid - Ordered to cease marital relations until marriage can be convalidated. Am I allowed to kiss my long-term live-in girlfriend?

@MassAesthetic @RorikWanka A prior marriage not being annulled and presumed valid (which is correct) isn’t the same as the current marriage being presumed null (which is incorrect).

@RorikWanka Married 12 years and my whole family entered the church at the same time. For whatever reason my wife required an annulment and we were in that status for roughly a year and a half.

@WillieWatson100 @RorikWanka Trads should practice the ultimate in tradition, submission to lawful authority. Even the pastor of a parish doesn’t have the authority to declare a marriage null.

@WillieWatson100 @RorikWanka If there’s no declaration of nullity from a tribunal (even if likely), then the marriage is presumed valid. He should probably get the marriage convalidated, for all the graces of a sacramental (and also now certainly valid) marriage.

@RorikWanka But generally, unless your marriage is declared null by a tribunal it should be presumed valid. Seeking convalidation is fine, but if there’s no declaration of nullity kissing is fine.

Pray for these men. They entered seminary under a completely different leadership in the Diocese of Charlotte. They are now entering into the priesthood during dark days in the diocese.
