Part of why I tend to be dismissive of firefighter concerns on some topics is because they have a history of being Chicken Littles on every proposal. Claim: NYC congestion pricing would cripple response and jeopardize public safety. Reality: injuries and deaths declined, response times improved. Claim: LA bus lanes would impact emergency response and kill people. Reality: emergency responders now actively use the very lanes they said would impede them. Claim: Single stair buildings are deadly fire traps to let developers cut costs. Reality: Seattle had had single stair buildings for decades without issue. Their fire department didn’t even realize it was a big deal until it was proposed in other cities. Each time it’s the same thing: Sky-will-fall promises and then it’s fine. Better, actually. The truth is if fire departments would constructively explain their concerns and work collaboratively with others to address them rather than immediately going to the public and all too often actively lying to them about both intent and outcomes this would all be easier for everyone involved.

If you are the primary driver of the car and your primary residence is NYC, but you register the car outside of NYC, you are committing insurance fraud and defrauding NYS which requires you register the car here.
It is absolutely fair that you are caught up in this.

I've heard it said on here that the gap between the very rich and the rest of us has never been smaller in terms of what you can buy but tbh I find that sad. The richest people have never been richer, you'd think things like haute couture and collectible design would be more popular than ever. The UK sends its emissions to Asia so it stops appearing in our emissions numbers but globally it doesn’t change as it then goes to Asia so it makes no difference
