@Thdark101 Feels like something that could have gone REALLY bad really easily (first take sonic movie bad lol) but even seeing these designs in motion I’m like “damn it looks good I have to say”

@Thdark101 The longer I’ve been seeing / living with the new art direction the more I’ve been really liking it. Nintendo remaking Starfox 64 again is expected, but the chosen art direction is absolutely NOT which alone brings a lot of new interest for me.

So the new Star Fox...I don't feel strongly one way or the other about the designs, I think they're largely 'fine'. Love the Arwings! Slippy, however... good lord. Wish they kept the clear color separation of white/green, and maybe pushed those nostrils closer together...

@Thdark101 I cant use a traditional intuos for drawing (lack of skill) but I prefer using one for photo retouching because editing photos on a cintiq just feels weirdly unnatural/incorrect

One of many reasons I don't like using cintiq/screen tablets. Obviously nothing against people that do, we all have our preferences/approaches, I'm just a diehard screenless tablet guy, and would choose one over a Cintiq any day, even if offered one for free.

@SenzuVT Oh all the stands are heavy lol they still are. They had to so they don’t flip over forward off your desk when you lower them into drafting table mode lol but the 24HD one must be insane cuz that tablet alone must weigh like 30 lbs hahahh

my wacom 24hd cintiq is so old it doesn’t fit any of the newer stands :') my absolute monster of a cintiq is so heavy even the Ergotron LX can’t lift it i will forever have to shrimp 🦐
⬢ matt laskowski@foxorian

the secret power of wacom's expensive cintiq pro stands is that you can hang the tablet over the edge of your desk to get a very comfortable drafting-table angle, or stand it up and use it standing. I haven't had body/neck pain in years since using my cintiq this way.

@MurPraxis Always been a great option and I recommend it. My amazon review from like 15 years ago is still up from when I used to use one with my Cintiq 22UX! Wasn’t a fan of the old scissor style stands. Only caveat is that these arms need a sturdy desk - it will crush fiberboard desk tops

@MauricioHunt2 Some thin adhesive Velcro should keep in place — don’t need to use too much of it or else it will probably damage your tablet trying to pry it off the stand lol. Put the fuzzy side on the tablet so you can still use it on your lap or whatever comfortably.

@foxorian thank you for the link, I did think of accessories like this one , even attached to one arm, but the tablet slides off and move as you work because it's not firmly attached to the support.

@foxorian I prefer the Intuos line (non screen), it has no lag, but I've never found a stand for them since they don't have what's needed to attach the tablet to any arm.

@_nacu @suiika___ I also recommend trying to add adhesive rubber feet on the tablet and arm where they make contact with your desk. Should help increase friction keeping it in place. That’s what I used to do.

Suiika Customizable Model OUT NOW!
I recommend a ergotron monitor arm, cheaper and way more flexible (also can get it in white). You can rotate it 360, move it closer and move the drawing tablet to the side and out of the way when not using it.

@_unum It does, I used to use one myself. Specific mounting to your desk is key though, and I recommend putting some adhesive rubber feet under the mount head to keep it from scratching your desk when lowered.

@foxorian Does the Ergotron LX go low enough to achieve similar position with tablet sligtly hanging over the edge with tilt similar to the first pic?

Still other options exists, I myself used to use an Ergotron LX in my Cintiq 21UX/22HD days. (Wacom's own arm is literally a rebranded Ergotron.) There are also low-angle VESA stands that work well enough. I use the official stand now because I prefer its ease of use/setup.

the first post is my desk at work but I use the same model cintiq in my home studio. Matched with a low-back eames pad chair. (this setup is pretty recent though I've switched some things up a bit more since then.)

@g_luceroth although I do wonder if a stand like that can lower its tension enough for how light weight an iPad is. (these stands are designed to expect some amount of weight to stay 'floating.) But something like this approach might be worth looking into in some form.

@kazuharukina this type of stand I think exists under many different brands. It's capable of doing this which is the desired effect for better ergonomics, even hanging over the edge of your desk. Best for 22-24 inch sizes I think.

@Chesswalkers Ergotron LX arms are an excellent lower cost option especially for 22-inch class tablets. I used to use one myself back during the Cintiq 22HD days.

@Kirin_id_ Yeah the latest cintiqs have an add-on keyboard shelf accessory. Works great, I don’t have to reach around the huge tablet to type haha
