Another email from Charlie Massey (@gmcuk chief executive) to Prof Leng, where the GMC said they would suggest which NHS orgs the review team should visit. "...provide some suggestions on locations you might visit to see how PAs and AAs are deployed and working in practice"

🔥Have been incensed about something all day…. Women are the majority of medical students in the UK, yet there are still pockets of the medical profession where dinosaurs are alive, well & roam the earth. Turns out my own clinical specialty (ICM) is sadly one such place…. 1/8

Looks like PAs are seen as THE senior decision makers at @sashnhs EM department ‘You will be supported to as a senior clinical decision maker within the department’ Heads should roll for this death . @parthaskar @DrAsifQasim @Mike88881221 @DrLukeCraddock @doctor_oxford

'The watchdog said parents often chose... formula...when they were vulnerable, often in hospital immediately after birth, when they did not have “clear, accurate and impartial information needed to make informed decisions”' Let's unpack this, shall we!🧵 theguardian.com/business/2025/…

⚠️Medicine shortage – Intravenous (IV) fluids⚠️ We are aware of shortages of multiple intravenous (IV) fluid products from all three Australian suppliers (Baxter Healthcare, B.Braun, and Fresenius Kabi). Read more: tga.gov.au/about-IV-fluid…

Hi @KingsCollegeNHS The public are deeply concerned that you will hire a Physician Assistant who will be looking after critically ill kiddies with Liver failure/transplant 💀☠️. ⭕️Children who had liver/bowel transplant are very complicated + on immunosuppressants. PAs have near zero knowledge in pharmacology and won’t recognise signs of drug toxicity. ⭕️How could they work at Reg level and provide advice to senior Doctors like GPs? PAs do 3 weeks in Paediatrics only during their training. ⭕️Please stop pushing PAs to bite off more than they can chew. This is deplorable.
