So many are saying Bitcoin is going lower. No. The bear market is over. And I really think crypto is going to shock everyone this cycle. I bet my entire life, 10yrs worth of research & entire net worth on this moment. I’m warning you that life changing wealth is about to come. The masses do not see this. When I look at the business cycle… What the US dollar is doing…what Trump is doing…the stimulus that’s coming after years of prolonged draining…What stocks are doing. The new FED chair… Institutional interest in crypto. Retail distributing to big money. The Clarity Act, etc.. Understand that, and you beat 95% of investors. You all deserve what’s about to happen. If you still haven’t followed me, you’ll regret it.

@IkNet Een burgemeester mag geen landelijke wet negeren of officieel “niet uitvoeren”. Dat is tegen de Grondwet en de Gemeentewet. De burgemeester is verantwoordelijk voor de handhaving van openbare orde en veiligheid, inclusief landelijke wetten.

Halsema voert boerkaverbod niet uit omdat zij het verbod niet bij Amsterdam vindt passen.

@sunnydecree 10 and 30 yr yields are breaking out. DXY is retesting. That normally brings risk-on down, so we could see some lower lows for bitcoin as well towards Q4.

Historically, the Bitcoin weekly RSI has been one of the most reliable indicators of market bottoms. Have we already seen the worst? Or will this time be different?

Some will flame me but whatever. I put BIP110 in Claude and am asking it to answer my questions and help me understand it. 2 important findings: 1. It basically agrees with it technically. And when I read it I am ok with a temporary (this is important) period of this soft fork to have time to "figure out something sustainable" (against spam). Ok I am on board conceptually. 2. Spammers will adapt. There are other technical ways to spam. This starts an arms race, cat/mouse game. Visible/invisible spam makes it harder and harder to detect... the blockchain size keeps rising despite these efforts. We stay in a perpetual trap and discussion and strife that asks for an extension of the "temporary" soft fork. Hold up. Bitcoin's whole value proposition rests on the idea that its rules are extraordinarily hard to change. Not impossible, but hard enough that you can build a hundred-year savings plan on top of them. So every activation mechanism is implicitly answering the question: how hard should it be to change Bitcoin And 95% versus 55% are two very different answers. It said: "the activation mechanics (55%, mandatory signaling) are where I'd expect the fiercest fight, because that's not just about spam anymore. That's about how Bitcoin changes itself." ... "The justification given (for 55% signaling) is that it's temporary and urgent. But you can see why this is the part people fight about, right? The threshold isn't just a technical parameter, it's a statement about how much agreement you need before changing Bitcoin's rules." 2 things I see: 55% is not 51% (attack), but boy is that close? What happens to an emergent money that is engineered truth of which it's most important task is to stay consistent, constant, predictable, immutable, and thus trustworthy when it is in a perpetual fight? Is that positive? Many wanted me to think. Here's my thinking. Maybe I am too rational. Maybe I am an idiot. I have another positive/negative read attached. "imagine the same playbook used for something else: a "temporary emergency" fork for compliance reasons, or transaction filtering that a slim majority supports under regulatory pressure. "It's temporary, it's urgent, we only need 55%, non-signalers get orphaned" is a template, and templates get reused." Please share your thoughts. Thank you.

Nederlandse inlichtingendiensten zijn betrapt op het trainen van AI met burgergegevens die ze niet mochten hebben. De CTIVD, het officiële toezichtsorgaan op de inlichtingen- en veiligheidsdiensten in Nederland, heeft een rapport gepubliceerd waarin staat dat medewerkers van de AIVD en MIVD enorme bulkdatasets hebben geraadpleegd en bewaard op manieren die in strijd zijn met de Nederlandse wet. Namen, telefoonnummers, locatiegegevens, social media, communicatie-inhoud. Miljoenen vermeldingen. Sommige afkomstig van overheidsbronnen, sommige commercieel aangekocht, sommige gestolen door criminelen en gekocht op het dark web. Daarnaast heeft Bits of Freedom, de Nederlandse organisatie voor digitale rechten, iets opgemerkt dat diep in het rapport verborgen lag: de diensten lijken hun eigen AI-modellen te trainen met deze gegevens. Dit is niet de eerste keer. In 2020 ontdekte dezelfde toezichthouder dat dezelfde diensten burgergegevens veel langer hadden bewaard dan wettelijk toegestaan. Na klachten werden ze verplicht dit te verwijderen. Zes jaar later: De illegaal bewaarde data is nooit verwijderd en wordt nu naar verluidt gebruikt om modellen te trainen die toekomstige surveillance sneller, nauwkeuriger en autonomer zullen maken. Je kunt je niet afmelden. In tegenstelling tot commerciële AI-bedrijven is er geen instellingenmenu, geen privacycentrum en geen recht om te verwijderen dat je daadwerkelijk kunt uitoefenen. Bits of Freedom verwoordde het als volgt: “Ze lijken data te kopen van criminele datalekken. Michael Saylor and Adam Back have both come out against BIP-110. The proposal would limit Ordinals and other non-monetary data on the Bitcoin network in an attempt to reduce spam. Sounds good in theory... But Saylor argues the cure is worse than the disease. "There are 110 things more dangerous to Bitcoin than spam." Bitcoin has always been built around consensus. Changing the rules is rarely as simple as it sounds.
