4 outages in 3 months on Heroku. Now my account is gone and my app is down with zero warning. No email, no access, nothing. How is this acceptable for a production platform? @heroku @herokustatus

@pitdesi @rohindhar I thought it was pretty good! Had bathroom on top floor which is often missing. Dining room is dark and useless but otherwise a great house.

Ultimately felt the layout wasn’t for us. Weird top floor, small bedrooms, bathrooms not where you’d want them.

@MattZeitlin Almost 30% of the PG&E bill is now wildfire or storm related. Since 2019, almost 40 billion of wildfire related costs have been added to rates and rate base for the big three CA IOU’s. Most of our affordability issues are wildfire related.

@Chris_arnade It's in note, but Denmark funds 13% of budget (and more when much of that infrastructure was built). I don't know details, but I suspect more services are part-subsidized eg. police, courts, tertiary education and certainly defense. Agree all would be better off without that.

I have engineers from the US straight up refuse to believe the power output of a standard UK kettle that we all have on our kitchen tops.
Not only good for tea, but if you’re boiling pasta you can pre heat the water very fast.

Our AirBnB in Stockholm (Södermalm) is rental/public housing, prob from 90s or 00s. Two observations:
1. It’s plain but also good: no noise from neighbors, good layout, playground in courtyard
2. Next to shared laundry in basement is a bomb shelter with massive steel blast doors
