This I think underscores why there's a sect of leftists who are focused almost entirely on Dem-vs-Dem primaries in safe districts with zero interest whatsoever in beating Republicans in places Trump actually won.

@nobodyknows2322 People don't really grasp the abject misery, desperation, and violence that mark of the vast majority of human experience. Slavery isn't astonishing. What's astonishing is that we self-abolished it at extraordinary cost in blood and treasure.

It's hard to emphasize how every single Biden White House insider book portrayed Xavier Becerra as a disaster - an impulsive pick when the Biden team was getting criticism for not having a Latino in the Cabinet - who everyone thought was a failure x.com/KevinLiao_/sta…
Kevin Liao@KevinLiao_

Xavier Becerra talks about his experience and not needing training wheels. So what's his experience gotten us? He bungled COVID, Monkeybox, and bird flu. He was absent, ineffective, or too late every single time. California cannot afford an "invisible" governor.

Everything Price Sufferer (but especially eggs)
What you're all missing is that Luigi's manifesto said he did this because American healthcare spending is inefficient. All this stuff about "social murder" is projecting why you'd kill an insurance CEO, but you're not homicidal so you don't think like a homicidal person.
john teufel@JohnTeufelNYC

This is terminal law brain. If you're getting wealthy by enforcing a policy of aggressive denial of health insurance claims, which then results in deaths, I mean maybe "murder" is a triggering word but whatever it is, it's deeply unethical and immoral, even if it's "legal".

People are angry David for criticizing Rep Scott so soon after his death for not retiring when he was already unable to do his job, but I think the punishment for not retiring when you should and instead holding on until you die should be that you face endless criticism
David Weigel@daveweigel

Dems had been trying to reason with Scott for years — he was old, fading and unable to do the job like he used to. But he filed to run again and now Dems have their fourth death-caused vacancy of this Congress. politico.com/news/2022/01/1…

However stupid you think the people running the country are, they're stupider. The guy running border patrol last year thinks that 1 in 3 people in the country is an illegal immigrant. A total hallucination based on literally nothing.
Gregory K Bovino@GregoryKBovino

@ReichlinMelnick Aaron, the 100 million is a solid figure. No conspiracy theories, just research melded with 30 years as an immigration officer mixed in with this thing called common sense
