@ScruffMcGruff11 @GadSaad What this shows more than anything is that the left is the establishment. This stability and certainty is irresistible to people who want to be safe and part of the in-group above all (i.e. women). Married less so since they already have an in-group (family).

@GadSaad Women are actually just more pro-status quo. Right now, the left is the establishment. Everything that is not the establishment (scary) is currently seen as being on the right. Moving ever further left proves decisively that she is part of the in-group.

That's an interesting chart. Young men have stayed similarly conservative for over 25 years, while young women have drifted much further left. Why such a divergence? What has changed for young women that hasn't changed for young men?

@DisaffectedPod I can't tell you how many girls I came across while in college, both while dating and just socially, who luridly shared their fantasies about Trump (and his various family members) being killed. Very "normal" girls otherwise. Was quite weird and shocking (and still is.)

@DisaffectedPod @Giratiboo I think mass hysteria is the best way to look at it. It reminds me of descriptions of the Great Leap Forward in China (such as in The Three Body Problem novel.) Also, openly hostile and antisocial behavior is increasingly promoted online to girls as high-status and desirable.

You're doing the same thing. You're pretending that nothing has changed. Why are you doing this? It's not true, and you know that it's not true. Direct question: why are you pretending there was just as much of this before as there is today? Why are you trying to de-fang my point? You are trying to do that. Why?

I believe there are people in previous generations that did so. remember protests used to involve burning political figures if not other pro execution or punishing political figures. people of previous generations mocking political assassinations isn't too far fetched.
Disaffected@DisaffectedPod

Me: "These young women and girls are openly mocking political assassinations and think it's cute." The world: "They're just young though." Me: "Were you like this when you were 'just young'?" The world: "ANGRY SCREAMING FUCK YOU" Help me understand. -J

Sex robots are going to be a perfect litmus test for emotionally underdeveloped men because any man who sees a sex robot as a “replacement” for women is telling on himself. He is admitting that what he wanted from women was never really a woman. It was simply access to sex without any type of responsibility towards another human. They basically admit that they cannot become the kind of man a real woman would actually want to choose, and they know it (probably while rationalizing that women are the problem), so they avoid that situation entirely. That is great information. It tells you everything you need to know about their views on women and relationships. His dream relationship is one where he gets sex, silence, obedience, and zero expectation of growth. He was never prepared for a real relationship with a woman.

Men don’t realise that this is a massive win for women.

@Youtalkingtume I do NOT one some third worlder that hates me and comes from a place with no hygiene and a low respect for life doing those things so hotel owners can save a few bucks and skirt safety regs. Americans should be doing all those jobs.

@JillFilipovic Men are punished by women if they do housework. There have been numerous studies on this, and it dramatically kills attraction towards the husband every time. It's like the male equivalent of the woman getting fat.

Men routinely overestimate the amount of childcare and housework they do. Women underestimate how much they do and overestimate how much their husbands do. One solution: dads should commit to doing 70% of the work and it’ll wind up closer to 50-50.
Darby Saxbe@darbysaxbe

My lab asked pregnant couples to discuss their plans for sharing infant care. After birth, we brought them back to the lab. We discovered that couples do not accurately predict their division of baby care, and parents fare better when dads do more.

@hell_line0 That must really slap if you're, like, 14 years old and stupid. It's the kind of statement that school teachers like, but that clearly doesn't make any sense if you think about it for half a second.

A good education should teach us the logical fallacy of generalizing where “generics” are unwarranted. Politics is poisonous because its vocabulary is blunt & flat as a viper’s face. Either/or is the debased cousin of both/and. Yes—there are surely racists in the US; but they do not constitute the US. Why make statements like this except to further the division?

@xwanyex Do leftists really think that? (that everyone was peaceful and happy before "capitalism")? That seems too silly, even for them.

@velikinoldini @JoyceCarolOates His "socialist" buzzwords, etc. are just an adopted strategy for racial animosity. A leftist non-white is equivalent to a white neo-nazi in that both ideologies are selected because of in-group interest. Unlike for you, leftism is explicitly to his racial benefit.

@JoyceCarolOates Race is real and racism is good. Pretending it's either a pathology or ignorance results in otherwise intelligent people being completely unable to understand why things happens or make coherent predications about the future (this is basically all "respectable" Ds and Rs.)

a friend/colleague (who is not "white") remarked that her home country (which I will not name) was far more racist than the US; though she loved her native country, & loved the US, she thought that racism was "baked into" (your word) the human psyche & that systematic education & legislation were the only ways to combat it. this was a few years ago, & possibly she feels less optimistic about the US now.
