Regime change and regime collapse are not the same, yet many confuse them when observing the Iran war. The US or Israel have not committed the proper resources for regime change, which is a controlled process. It's quite likely that they did commit enough resources to weaken the regime enough for it to not be sustainable in a timeframe which may outlast this particular war, which is not a controlled process.

The EU is structurally incapable of reacting quickly to today’s foreign policy crises and must merge the European External Action Service into the European Commission while creating a smaller European security council for faster action, Carnegie Europe senior fellow Stefan Lehne writes. Current institutions are too cumbersome for war and chaos, as shown by the bloc’s exclusion from key Ukraine talks, divisions over Gaza and inability to respond effectively to the Iran war. A security council with Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Poland and rotating members, plus special status for the UK and Ukraine, could provide agile leadership. Merging the EEAS with the commission would integrate foreign policy with economic tools and reduce duplication.

The companies and their subsidiaries sponsored or owned at least six camps where children from occupied Donetsk, Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia regions were taken for re-education that promoted pro-Kremlin narratives and erased Ukrainian identity. Over 40 Gazprom subsidiaries and trade unions organized transport, issued vouchers and supported the program. 80 percent of these entities are not under US or EU sanctions.
