Glorious cricketing career unfortunately cut short by the sheer lack of batting, bowling or fielding talent

I knew my teenage son was going to get into the liquor cabinet after I fell asleep and then go street racing. To prevent that, I drank all the booze myself, got into the car, and crashed it into the nearest oak tree. It was the responsible thing to do.

Have heard from an Iranian friend that her partner in Teheran has sent her a message. He is a leftist and is telling her that the US/Israelis are targeting a number of known leftists homes in Teheran and elsewhere in an attempt to make sure there's no opposition to their favoured candidate once they destroy the regime. What this reveals is the degree of penetration by Mossad in Iran. What it also means is that this is not going to be an easy occupation for the US and its Israeli buddies.

WOW!!! Never thought we would hear this level of honesty from a Western leader, and certainly not Canada, given the direction of Canada in the past 25 years. Canada's shift towards multialignment is quite clear - and this level of honesty from Carney on Western "fiction" about the old order will be warmly welcomed in much of the Global South: "We knew that the story about the rules-based order was partially false... We knew that international law applied with varying rigour depending on the identity of the accused and the victim. This fiction was useful [because of the goods provided by American hegemony]... So we placed the sign in the window. We participated in the rituals. And we largely avoided calling out the gaps between rhetoric and reality. This bargain no longer works. Let me be direct. We are in the midst of a rupture, not a transition... You cannot live within the lie of mutual benefit through integration when integration becomes the source of your subordination."

The Young Turks detail Drop Site News’ latest reporting on leaked emails exposing Jeffrey Epstein’s decade-plus relationship with Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, the longtime chief of Dubai Ports World and one of the most powerful businessmen in the UAE. The emails show Bin Sulayem served as a key conduit for Epstein as he cultivated ties between Israeli and Emirati elites, a process that later culminated in the Abraham Accords. The correspondence suggests the two maintained an intimate relationship until Epstein’s death, including shared travel, discussions of sexual encounters, and political guidance on navigating elite circles in the United States. The emails also show Epstein facilitated access to Israeli medical care for Emirati royals, collected DNA sample kits for the Emirati royal family that were delivered to his New York home, and reviewed early drafts of an English-language memoir by Dubai’s ruler, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. This is the secret history of the "Abraham Accords," and is the latest in Drop Site’s ongoing investigation by @MazMHussain and @RyanGrim into Epstein’s political and intelligence activities. Turns out the only difference in the actual answers to questions provided by @mosharrafzaidi versus the guy that was bouncing around on screen the last time they tried is that Mosharraf can make a couple of jokes and speak in a Canadian accent whilst spewing rubbish. Do you stand by your tweets? When I made them yes I did. (Meaning I now don’t) What has changed since the tweets other than that you’re in government? India attacked us. We need to be safe What does that have to do with your earlier position? It absolutely does have to do with my earlier position. What are you saying Imran khan is a security threat? “Yes he absolutely is.” Queue charming rhetoric. So going by that logic Mosharraf; you’re either saying Imran khan was always a security risk even back when you thought him being taken away from the electoral process and being arrested was disgraceful; which means nothing has changed other than your stance. Or yalda is right and the only thing that has actually changed is that you’re in government now.

In 2023, spokesperson to the Pakistani PM, Mosharraf Zaidi, tweeted: "Imran Khan's arrest is disgraceful and reconfirms that Pakistan will not be able to become a normal country any time soon." @SkyYaldaHakim questions him on if he still stands by this tweet ⬇️

My Indian XI for the game vs the UAE 1. Abhishek 2. Gill 3. SKY 4. Tilak 5. Hardik 6. Jitesh 7. Dubey 8. Axar 9. Varun 10. Bumrah 11. Arshdeep No place for Samson because Gill is picked not just as a batter but as a VC. He plays. And that shuts the door for Sanju. No Kuldeep because modern-day T20 demands batting till 8. Dube steals the march over Rinku as he offers a bowling option and he was brilliant vs Eng anyway. #AsiaCup
