A horrific situation developing in Louisiana. 8 children have been killed in a domestic dispute. Ages range from 1 to 14. The suspect has been killed by police following a chase. Story developing.

Eight Kids Ages 1 to 14 Killed in Louisiana Home. Early Sunday morning in Shreveport’s Cedar Grove neighborhood, a gunman went from house to house opening fire and left eight children dead. Police say the victims were between roughly 1 and 14 years old, and some of them were the shooter’s own descendants. Ten people total were hit by gunfire across three separate homes. Two homes were on the same block of West 79th Street and at least one nearby. Two adult women survived shots to the head, according to authorities. One child also got hurt after jumping from a roof trying to get away. The whole thing started as a domestic dispute with the suspect allegedly targeting family members. The gunman took off after the shootings, carjacked a vehicle near West 79th and Lynnwood streets, and led officers on a chase that spilled into Bossier Parish. Shreveport police eventually shot and killed the suspect during the pursuit. No officers were hurt. Shreveport Police spokesperson Cpl. Christopher Bordelon called the crime scenes extensive and confirmed the link between the shooter and some of the young victims. No names of the dead or the suspect have been released yet.
